M56 SmartGun BFONG Full Auto Build

Well ive decided on how to power the burner and thats simply to use a butane burner set with a adjustable valve

On the concerns of the triggers theres still plenty of debate but im currently looking into some old MG systems and cattle injectors that might be a good match for them

Ok so heres the start for the incinerator unit

Got some parts for it over the week but theres a few main components ill need to get in order to get this looking as accurate as possible (with my own twist of course)

So for starters the burner head was a custom peice (and if it wasn't i have no clue what it came from) then theres the knobs and the small antenna rod (i think its a antenna at least)

So ive gotten these 2 kits in so far (along with the saturn 5) and things are going nicely for them but ill have to make the parts a little thicker than usual cause some of these things are almost paper thin (wicked fine detail in injection molding)

However though the original parts post had a slight error on it....so the part circled in blue on the detail highlighter photo is actually for the Leopold and not the Morser Karl as its a rigging peice not a ladder section

So till the rest arrive thats all for now

Ok so i have made some discoveries from these sets and lots have to do with parts and peices being cut and shortened

So i have found a majority of parts already and most come from:

Morser Karl
Leopold
Schwerer Panzerspahwagen

I believe the rest of the left side components come from the:

Darth Vader Tie Fighter
Revell 1/32 Mirage III
Tamiya Tyrell

But i have identified some of the lower section near the trigger as Morser Karl peices.

Still no clue on the scuba bottle peices as theres 2 side peices with holes next to the hornby incline peir

And ill have to buy another ERTL International Pay Hauler 350 Construction 1/25 kit as this one was primarily for parts only and not a full kit

Ill have to detail a screenshot of each peice thats identified once this is done but for now this is mostly all of the left side peices

Well been a while but heres the rundown

So i managed to get a 35mm scan of alien 1979 so im going to attempt to have it reprinted in 16mm later on with a ton of deleted scenes added back in (quality is bad on a few but i really could care less with 16mm as its such a small frame)

I also managed to track down a super 8 alien 1979 film so thats also getting reprinted in 16mm as its also got some scenes not seen i the film

Also the flamethrower ive found all but 3 parts for it

The parts ive found so far (ive added a few extras for my personal touch)

Red: Hasegawa 1/72 Leopold
Yellow: Hasegawa 1/72 Morser Karl
Orange: Schwerer Panzerspahwagen 8rad 1:35
Cyan: MPC Darth Vader Tie Fighter
Blue: Saturn V Rocket 1:144
Dark Blue: Revell Mirage III 1/72
Black: ERTL 1/25 International Pay-hauler 350
White: Hornby & Tri-ang incline peirs
Brown: Airfix motor torpedo boat 1:72

Still missing the Tamiya Tyrell but after that its just 2 other peices im unable to identify as the first red circled peice was the underside of the hornby incline peir

Also the flamethrower rear trigger is coming along nicely as ive finally found the right valve and fittings as well as the propper cylinders for the build

This has been alot of work in such a short time and its starting to slowly come together

Good luck with the BFONG portion. I talked with a couple folks who got BATF permission for their own designs for a M3 'grease gun' and Tommy gun ones and the word "nightmarish" came up in both cases.
It's a crazy process to get their technical section to sign off on something that does shoot blanks being a non gun. This  isnt ssomething you just think up and break out the tools.

I have someone who used to be in the BATF and in a few federal groups thats going to convert mine and hes been doing it for the better part of 20 years now so its really not that complicated so long as its per what they want which is "can it be easily converted" and "how long would it take to convert"

Well construction on the burner has started and luckily i found someone who can do castings of their peice so itll make it easier at the fabricating shop for when it gets ready

And the antenna rod is coming along nicely

Well im not a machinist in any way but i think i did a good job on the antenna peice for the flamethrower so far

I dont have a lathe either so its pretty much cut copper tubing pressure fit to a stainless steel rod

Also funny moment we showed up to see romulus and we got here earlier than expected so its pretty much empty here XD

Well had a chance to get a few very cool items while the parts for the incinerator came in

So these are super 8 films of alien 1979 (i have 3 now) and out of the 3 only one will be the one to be scanned for my 16mm copy of alien 1979 (this is a long term project im saving up for so its not gonna get done any time soon but its gonna take some stuff from the deleted scenes and alien isolation to make the best comprehensive alien 1979 film to date)

But i also got a 35mm teaser trailer for alien 1979 and it was the first one to be shown

Ok so heres the deal on old film stocks

Theres vinegar syndrome and fading

So fading is the color dyes getting weaker over time in bad storage

Vinegar syndrome is breaking down of the film emulsion (the vinegar part comes from the emulsion releasing acetic acid over time making a pungent odor similar to vinegar)

Both can be maintained by putting in proper storage for years to come

And fading can be reversed by scanning and adjusting the color values accordingly (which is why most films had a color pallet shot)

Well had a small intermission due to some questionable weather patterns (IE Hurricanes)

But ive done some digging and i found a few parts and peices for the alien 1979 costume im planning to make

So this is a Racal RA-150 headset (finally found one!) So not much needs to be modified to this aside from desoldering the extra speaker and adding a converter from the U-127/U aviation plug using a U-79/U connector to get it to go to a mono headset (3.5mm or special connection for a old walkie talkie set) and it can be reversed easily so this is pretty much just for functionality

Then theres a old CRT tester rejuvinator (unable to be fixed and mainly used as parts) so this has parts on it for the stun baton i can use easily

However currently im saving up for parts for the MG42 and flamethrower to complete those builds quickly
