Well the holidays are here and im hoping to have alot more done after them but for now this might be the last i post here till next year

But i have started on the jacket again and its getting very close to being done but theres still alot of finishing touches that need to be done to it first

Still working on the mg42 here but i gotta get a few peices for it in the meantime for it to be converted to a BFONG

is your mg42 a live fire semi auto currently? who did the build for you?
as far as BFONGs go... i am working on a design at the moment, i will tell you this: you cant convert a live firearm into one.

as far as BFONGs go... i am working on a design at the moment, i will tell you this: you cant convert a live firearm into one.
Well the person who made the firearm was Jared Lewman from Lewman Arms in Florida

And as to the conversion of a firearm into a BFONG most firearms can be converted as most the BFONGs today are just that conversion but making the proper conversion is key to keeping in the law

IE: you cannot easily reconvert the BFONG to accept live ammunition or be capable of firing a single projectile due to the conversion

That means barrels plugged permanently, barrel permanently attached, and if you were to feed a live round through the BFONG it would destruct

Im sure theres more to that list but trust me when i say it can be converted you just need to know who to convert it to stay within the law

The problem is this: in order for it to be classified as a blank fire only non gun it cannot start as a firearm. All approved designs start from kits or scrap metal- none of which are legally firearms. What you have right now is legally a firearm, therefore it cannot be converted into a non firearm without it being destroyed first.

All bfongs have to be sent to the atf for classification unless it is being manufactured using an already approved design by the person who received the approval.

All bfongs have to be sent to the atf for classification unless it is being manufactured using an already approved design by the person who received the approval.

The design is being made by someone who used to be a gun manufacturer for movie props and is still well within ATF approval for his design

The gun will be pretty much made inert at first then it will be rebuilt once the barrel has been permanently fixed in place and the receiver properly modified to only accept blank ammunition (headspace modifications and small cuts along the inside to prevent live ammunition from being used)

In order to reconvert it to a actual firearm once again it would need to be cut into peices then rebuilt from the ground up using Mil-Spec equipment which is only available to FFL07/SOT02 firearm engineers

Trust me ive done the research and everything will be within the laws and inspected prior to even reaquiring the BFONG to maintain validity

Well its been a while since my last posting and quite a bit has happened

First ive fired back up the forge and im currently going through my metal stockpiles to hopefully make some brackets to help fund a few projects here (especially a really fun one concerning a certain film peice)

Second ive snagged a SCOPE run of alien 1979 (yes full length at 117 minutes) and its in a little rough shape but scanning and recoloring is a good way to preserve it for later viewings

So....heres the down and dirty on the smartgun:

The smartgun is currently in the works but ive been trying to get parts for the conversion to full auto (and trying to keep within the law) so certain parts aren't coming to me and rather they're going straight to the manufacturer ill be using

This wouldn't bother me but im hoping that everything will be able to work with the MG42 here in the conversion process

Now concerned the SCOPE film:

I am going to have it reprinted one day and i might set up a go-fund-me later on this to try and get that underway but im gonna see how the brackets do for right now

The brackets will have a few metal varieties depending on what the buyers want and that includes:

Aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, nordic gold, and cast iron

Note that each metal will have theyre own value to it as with certain metals it is harder to maintain temperatures and....well steam explosions are more frequent at higher temps so that means a bit of a fee for risk to bodily injury/property damage from molten metals (not too much of a price gap but its a risk still trying this)

For those interested in a sneak peak at the 1979 film i have posted it up on my YouTube channel and im hoping that one day i can get it restored to its proper color and add in a few additional scenes to hopefully bring back this archival footage

I love that you are doing this, but as an interested, but uninformed shmoe, I really don't get the offering a variety of metals, which is to say, I've no idea what the pros & cons of each would be. Could you may be do a dummies guide on the various options, or better for you, just choose whichever is to best combo of cost vs strength vs weight [weight is probably the least important, given that if ppl are concerned about weight, they should be looking at 3d printed options]. Just my $0.02.

So heres the pros and cons of each metal type:

CONS:

copper, bronze, brass, nordic gold, and cast iron are the heavier metals

Cast iron is sturdy but isnt forgeable due to its brittleness (but you have to want to break it to actually break it)

Copper and bronze are malleable so theyre easily dented

Cast aluminium can break if dropped hard enough

PROS:

Cast iron is the best for weathering

Copper, brass, nordic gold, and bronze are the sturdiest metals due to their elasticity

Cast aluminium is the lightest metal

Nordic gold, and bronze are corrosion resistant

And all these metals are purely for bling on the individuals smartgun and all have theyre own properties to better suit the users needs

Ok so major hurdle has been made for making the MG42 a full auto BFONG

Sorry ive not posted in a bit but ive been on and off with this focusing on work and on finding parts for the next few builds

I have finally tracked down a full auto trigger assembly for the MG42 and now im working on getting a bolt and new stock for the build to fully take off

Ive also managed to fully craft a shoulder lamp (with a few unique edits for my lamp) and im still working a bit on a few parts for it but for the most part it is fully complete and just needs some paint

Ok so a little unpacking for some future projects

So first off im going to have a lighter sale soon for some old Savanna Bronica lighters (4 will be for sale)

The lighters will be in a full kit with various repair parts and additions to keep the fuel from leaking out and needing refuiling constantly

I am in the process of aging the brass of 2 of the lighters to make them a bit more like the originals and they will look like the last 2 photos

Ive also broken out the leather working materials for making some new cases for the lighters (got something special coming soon for them so stay tuned)

The asking price is 400$ for each lighter kit and that is just to cover the costs for acquiring the lighters, cleaning them, and outfitting them for improved use (these lighters are very rare here in the states and i got these as a bit of a fundraiser for the smartgun and a few other items)

Well still waiting for the trigger assembly to come in from customs but i did get something rather cool in the meantime

So these are some leather stamps i had made and i think theyll give just that extra flare some of my leather bits need

I mean as Charles Bishop Weyland once said:

"Have you ever asked yourself where the marines source their weapons? Were old friends the Corps and I. In fact, you might even say i own it, that means i own you, and when a corporate asset is no longer of use, i dispose of it..."

Even if he might be a synthetic you have to agree the colonial marines do source a majority of their armor and weapons from his company

Also cannot wait to see what mysteries the alien earth tv show will bring

Those stamps look way cool:love::love::love::love:

Leather cases for the Savanna Bronica lighter are currently in production for anyone interested

There are 2 colors currently:

Standard Brown 40$ each
Navy Blue 50$ each (rare leather color here)

Shipping will be deducted from location and added to final cost (international is unfortunately gonna cost extra)

Also just want to be clear the small leather tab that holds the keyring and swivel latch there might be a few minor imperfections since its a very small item to scribe on but i do my best to make it not too severe when scribing the inlay on it (not too severe because i wont use it should it be severely damaged)

For anyone interested feel free to send a DM

All proceeds go towards the Smartgun project and funding for metal casting AR-125 brackets
