Luke's v2 ROTJ Hilt accurate dimensions?

Hey guys, I originally started modelling the v1 but have since decided on going the v2 route. I've been really struggling to find accurate dimensions for the v2 (especially the grenade section).. Every blueprint I look at varies. I'll post my WIP pics thus far until anyone can shed some light.

How it began:

Then since starting on making a v2, I imported these blueprints (wannawanga's) and calibrated the blueprint to precisely 287 and scaled the saber up but as you can see some parts are off...

morgan is saying there is new found evidence of the V2. thanks to the video with brandon and hamill examining the V2.
 
Great thanks. I'm thoroughly reading the thread here now. Interesting stuff! I wish I knew more about it in the first place having liked luke's v2 over the hero all along.

Anyway, I will dig deeper. I only started working on this model originally to have something nice to 3d print with possibility of getting it machined at a later date.. but, me being me I have to get this as accurate as humanly possible.

I do think I should increase the lip, it's a little too thin on the flat sections.

Also, it seems like the chunks being 5mm high are too high, shown here.. maybe they are 4mm?

Then length and shape is all good, perspective is throwing it off a bit.. but they definitely seem a little tall

There we go :) I think I got it, decreased the chunk heights to 4mm and increased the ring diameter that sits underneath....

BONUS I got that edge swoop in there too, if you know what I mean :D

Apart from scaling the saber up to 287 in length early on in the build, I've not been using your blueprints at all. (I couldn't anyway, all the dimensions where off :/)
I've since redone everything using a different set of a blueprints that where completely mapped out.
If I had known your blueprints weren't there for others to use I wouldn't have done so, so I apologise.
But as I said, my design is completely different :)

Whilst your here though anakin, can I pick your brain on the grenade section?..

I've been told all rings and their spacing is even compared to the shared stunt. is this true?
I currently have the grenade rings at 2mm and their spacing at 6mm I think.m

I'm making my own 3D model, and I wanted to know if your working on this. On the V2 thread they said that it isn't a perfect circle.. Is it an arrow in the middle ? red.jpg

This is my modelROTJ V2.png, and that is my pommel. Pommel.png.
I thought at first that it was a screw. It is definitely not the case. Have you got any suggestions?
Convince me that this detail is important, or not ^^.
