Limited Run === Luke's Lightsaber : THE LAST JEDI === NOW SHIPPING!!!

Triring is super tough. I cut mine, but that gave me the option to plug the hole so the ring doesn’t move side to side.

i love over the blade setup.... really excited to put neopixel adapters in the new ones as opposed to my ghetto DIN setup on the SF

Nice job getting this installed so quickly. What LED combo did you go with??

Congrats on the install! I love your V2 paint job; it's very close to my interpretation (with the brown paint splotches amid the black). Can't wait to see the neo pixel blade on the V4

Looks great! For your pixel blade are you going with the adapters from TCSS or something else since you said "neopixel style"?

I’m going to try more muscle, I tried opening it today but thought the tri ring was 1 piece and that line is a cutting line. I’m not cutting anything until I did more home work lol

I’m going to attempting opening it using a little more muscle this time around

Thanks for the heads up roman!

If you have a good method for opening it up without scratching or modifying please share. I tried using some thick 1" wide rubber straps to pull it apart but one of the straps broke!

So I wrapped my pliers in gaffers tape. Then inserted them into my tri ring like in the picture below

I didn’t have enough strength to separate the ring by hand, so I put 1 handle of the pliers under my work bench table, then used both of my other hands to pull the other handle of the pliers, the tri ring actually popped at the seam.

I think the chrome/nickel coating had my tri ring stuck. Once I got it to pop it opens and closes like butter

I’d hardly say I’ve installed it at the moment it’s just an older cyan mix SF LED with a TCSS thin wall/diffuser photon blade tube being quite outshined by my neopixel V2.
Ill probably wind up doing the TCSS adapters and (potentially) NEC’s intelliblade LEDs if they prove reliable and durable enough for my purposes.

Thanks for this! I think mine might be stuck closed as well... I'll try cutting the middle apart and hopefully it's buttery like yours.

Still though kudos to you for getting something installed in it so soon! I'm waiting on my 3D printer toolhead to come back from being serviced so I can print my chassis. Among other things...

One more thing: using the provided plate as a template it’s really not difficult to make a new led plate.
Drill and drill bits, 1/16 thick aluminum material, a triangle detail file, and some sandpaper (or standing belt power sander).
ill probably make another attempting to tighten up the triangles but for about 20 minutes is say most folks could do it

The spacing between the current arrow cutout and the screw hole is very tight. I haven't drilled box yet but if you look at this there is little room for error.

The circle backing the triangles are just big enough to contain the triangle:

Of course you could always glue the plate and screws on if it got messed up bad enough. :)

I think the PCB design is good to go... The only thing I need to figure out now is the holes for the resin inserts I plan on making (if I ever get my printer). Here are a few mock ups:

With the holes drilled in the copper lid:

What the internals look like (minus the LEDs and wires on the board):

The activation switch will sit between the LED pads. I think if I can pull of the resin triangles and have them flush with the inner wall then LEDs can be mounted on the board versus through holes which will make this a lot easier.

Also there is a center hole for wires, it's just not showing for some reason.

My friend threw in his ROTJ sloth card, sloths card is little long

Edit: just realized sloth had a “creepy uncle” version, his rotj version will not fit the balance v4. If your going to order be sure it’s for the creepy uncle

Hmmm... Methink that if you’d cut it just a bit (to match the box) it’d replicate the screen-used look pretty well. The 13th bar looks thinner (almost by half)

Also, the color difference looks really nice. Is it really that different in person?

Dunno he sent this to me, he’s gonna swing by one night this week so I can install his d ring. I’ll take more pics
