Limited Run === Luke's Lightsaber : THE LAST JEDI === NOW SHIPPING!!!

Hey Roman, I don’t mind receiving a parts kit. If it helps at all, feel free to leave mine unassembled. I know 1 kit might not make a difference, but others might not mind either. And not to gain priority or anything, just to relieve you of tedium :)

I agree, I have no problem assembling my own as well

Just letting everyone know me and my friend’s have shipped!

Nothing on mine yet! Lol on that note is anyone going to be lightly weathering theirs to resemble more what we see on screen and in that photo? If so what method do you recommend for bringing down the shine on the copper? I’d like mine to be a little more dull

Wondering about that, myself. To dull down the machined finish I'll throw them into my case tumbler for a few hours, but that won't do anything about the color. Maybe I'll try to dark down the dulled copper with Aluminum Black or something like that? The parts look very brownish on-screen.

I’m going to paint over my copper, I’ll be using oven clean to dull down the aluminum

There is some new tricks to weathering that punished Props posted on his YouTube

He’s got this sand/dirt you run all over the nocks and crannies, and then use alcohol which’s seals it. He uses this on all his blade rubber blasters

Check out the end of his squirt gun paint job video

Heard nothing on mine either as yet......looking forward to seeing pics when you guys receive them

I'm going to try to chemically darken the copper on mine using Brass Black.....not sure about the aluminium yet. Maybe use Aluminium Black and then fine wire wool it back like I did on my V2

That looks really nice. :) Some part of me wants to dull down the aluminum too, but the saber on screen looked very shiny... I'm hesitating between only dulling down the copper parts, or dulling down the whole thing. I guess I'll decide when I see it in person. :)

I believe the opposite, I don’t think it’s very shiny.

I feel as though it’s dull, we do know they did some CG work on it, and forgot to add shine to one of the lines on the card... so maybe they added some shine to it?

I feel as though the saber in TFA behind the scenes footage is dull, and dirty

That's interesting. I agree that the TFA saber is dull and dirty. And, unless I'm mistaken, the ROTJ Hero wasn't shiny either... I'd like to think that my first instinct to make it all dull was the right one. The only thing that was making me hesitate was the shine in the screenshots. When you say that we know that they did some CG work on it, how do we know this?
