Luke V2 Throne Room Paint Reference Thread

Hi all, I'd really love to do my V2 up in a production style and feel the throne room variant is the right choice for me. The only issue I'm finding with it is reference. Looking through the threads on the V2, the shots of the saber during those scenes are scarce. Does anyone have anymore screen grabs of it? I plan to use Trooper_trent stencils as a starting point and working backwards from those. If anyone has done a paint job like this how did you do it? I'm thinking maybe you just take away more of the stencil and leave the marks that are on the saber?

Great pictures. The throne room lighting is so dark, even in 4K it's hard to make out the details.

There’s that infamous shot of Luke holding the saber where it shows the lever. That’s a good shot of the booster I’ll try to find it.

PSA remember there is a reflection making the lever look like it had a tooth and it does not lol it’s a smooth swoop

I got a pretty good pattern by spraying TS Black and pressing gaff tape on it and ripping it off

It’s not an exact science but it’s an authentic looking style lol

My V2 is like this, the throne room style with more paint on it

Raw hilt was a PoopaPapaPalps V2 kit! essentially 4 pieces, and I got to damage it and paint it, install the greeblies and make a lever and stuff. Have yet to see cast aluminum emitters that don't crack when dented though, maybe they lathed a replacement
