I thought that I had everything lined up with a shop to do the casting, but it fell through, so I had to start over looking for a new foundry. Also, I had a couple expenses come up that made me have to hold back on placing the order just yet, since I need to have enough disposable cash on hand that it doesn't hurt me to have a chunk of it tied up in the casting for a couple months.

The nipple was an added greeblie, it was part of the blade retention setup for stunt work.

Edit: this info is incorrect. The nipple was part of the emitter, and was drilled out for the shared stunt.

Right. what you see in the pics above is the cast metal base. The nipple will be a machined component that will be added to the casting after the base is copied. As with the conical button and the graflex clamp.

Somethings you may or may not have noticed. Each grip ridge is, not just a different width, but also a different depth and different angle. Each grip corresponds to the original buck. Also, the pommel cubes are all different sizes and shapes. They refelect the asymetry and ideosyncracy of the shared stunt. Also, all measurements for this prop were taken directly from an original ANH stunt casting in a private fan collection

God, after doing/researching props for a little while I can REALLY subconsciously tell the differences (measurements i guess) and what people get wrong on this saber. Hard to really dictate though
