Luke ROTJ V2 lightsaber

If you count the V3 as a motorised (that's still questionable?) with the V2 & barbican that makes three. Two graffys, do you know where they are now? but yes that would take us to 5 motorised ones 3 out standing.
very hard to say, but this tape pattern or style matches the warehouse practice scenes. that would be a strange piece of wood, shaped like that
I'm inclined to agree (What!? Mouse agrees with some one!). The long Vader blades do look suspiciously like the VHF boat antennae Vadermania recently identified, both length & profile. There is also proof (as good as it's likely to get anyway) that wood dowel was used, at the very least for the Cantina arm chop scene.

I thought we had interviews with several people directly involved in the production/filming (Lucas, Hamill, etc..) who talked about wooden blades on those ANH sabers including Peter Diamond talking about breaking many blades.

I wonder if the original blades were wood, so the motor assemble was created/set-up for the weight of wood, but due to wood blades breaking during filming of the duel they scrambled and came up with the antenna blades and for whatever reason the spinning still worked on the Obi saber but they couldn't get it to work on the Vader saber.

Wood blades broke so many times they switched to composite blades

I figured the two Graffy stunts were the Barbican and the static "core" pipe stunt; one being motorized and the other one not, similar to the V2 being motorised and the V3 being static. Both those Graffy hilts and the V3 are, as we know, are in the Archives today.

Ive never seen evidence of the pipe stunt we know today being around anytime before jedi, maybe empire.

Theres the graffy motorized one that was converted to static, but it had a place for the glass eye and holes for wires in between the grips. That ive seen a lot pre jedi. The barbican was also converted to static

Im very curious if the V2 specifically was ever used for rehearsal, i thought so given the emitter lip thats so small i swear ive seen it

I thought the pipe stunt was made for ESB (maybe?)? The motorized Graflex and Barbican were converted to static for ESB (well the Barbican was static in ANH filming), we can see the Graflex in practice and the Barbican during the duel. The Barbican is also definitely not a Graflex stunt. This thread gives some great insight into it:
(Though we are getting a bit off topic about the V2!)

Side note: I was wrong about my emitter measurements PPP - you're right, they are pretty close!

I'm getting confused again about nomenclature. The Barbican is a Vader stunt ? Someone please help here.

Ah, this is my mistake. I got the Vader Stunt confused with the Graffy stunt with the black tape applied to the lip, thinking they were both sporting a Graffy lip.

And Mouse Vader, yes: the Barbican is the Vader stunt from ANH.

There are so many names to keep track of lol

I wonder if there are grub screws under the clamp on the v2, to keep the motor in place

Another avenue of speculation while we wait on the mystery chunk reveal..."purse feet," "tote bag feet," or "handbag feet." I got to thinking of the small metal feet that I remember being attached to the bottom of briefcases and attache cases.

Here's some on Etsy. Note that they come in all shapes (including trapezoid), are usually sized very close to the dimensions of the mystery chunk, and some have a cross-hatch pattern:

When these are attached for decorative purposes to the sides of a bag, they are often referred to as "studs" instead of "feet." If someone has suggested these before, please excuse the repetition.

I still like the hobnail idea, the pic attached looks close to me. But if teecrooz says it's not nailed or screwed in I guess that rules these out.

But it could be anything - part from a turntable, part from a RC transmitter, some sort of push button switch.

All will be revealed in time I suppose!
