I see where it may look like that, but the prop was lathed to mimick the grenade and balance pipe of Obi Wans saber. Then, the new props for ROTJ were made to mimick the old stunts, the pattern continues. These facts, the photography and prop owners all corroborate the shape, thanks for running this by us though!Hey, just looking at the first page at the pic and your 3d model, I can't help but see that the emitter may not be all right angled edges. I know at the angle of the photo there will be some curvature that may be misleading, but I still see sublte angles, and this also compliments the angles on the grenade part. Forgive my crude drawing, but it is just showing a general idea of what I mean.

Would be great if someone could do a run to upgrade the emitters on our russreps, then we can get the levers from roy and the card from slothfurnace, then all we need is to replace the screw by the pommel, and a square bolt for the other side of the clamp.
would love to be on the stand by list.Right now the run is closed because the order has already been placed with the shop. But there may be some left over when the machining is done. I'm making a standby list and when all of the other orders are fulfilled, I will contact all the latecomers in order of contact.
Thanks
Dan

It wouldn't actually be too difficult to make the adjustments to the Russ V2. In fact, I've thought about doing it myself. I have small jeweler's saw to cut a groove under the pommel, I've got solder to fill the second ridge in the neck, and the top of the emitter, I could, theoretically, solder a washer on top of it (maybe something thin to keep the ridge). Then it'd be just sanding and polishing after that.
Of course, as it is with most things, just thinking about the work involved just puts me off the idea.:lol
