Lost season 6 with spoilers beware

how did we find out that MIB can only take the form of dead people? I missed a few minutes and didnt give it my full attention.

I do think he's evil, he has asked Sayid to kill people for him and killed those who would not follow him.
So had Widmore, the others and Ben. But now that we are more familiar with the characters we see that they are not this evil presence. They each did what they had to, to protect the island in there own way.

It was mentioned when Locke and Jack had a private conversation at the start of the episode.

The thing that bothers me about the MIB taking Christians form is that we never saw Christians body in the casket.

So we don't know if he is really dead or not.

As far as Smokie possibly being good, or not bad - i just can't see it.

Yeah, he did some helpful things for richard and the losties (directing them to water), saving jack there on the beach, befriending Claire, etc. When you need people to escape your prison, you suck up to those you know you need until you get what you want. You don't be a grade-a ________ to them and try and bully them into it.

Don't forget, he killed the other, what? 10 survivor's of richards boat, killed multiple losties and tailies after the crash, lied to all of them repeatedly, killed the remaining survivors of the ajira flight, massacred the people who decline to follow him out of the temple, got ben to kill jacob, killed all of Iylana's crew, and threw desmond down a well and told sayid to flat out kill him simply because widmore wants him. And he's not evil becuase?

On a totaly unrelated note, i thought the revalation of Ilyana's name was supposed to have meaning. As I heard it last night, it was Verdansky. I don't have any idea what that's supposed to mean - did we meat a verdansky in the previous 5.5 years i don't recall?

Her last name is actually Radzinsky - which is the same last name as the fellow who designed the Swan.

Just playing devils advocate with the MIB good or evil question.
The others beat, tortured and kidnapped children from the losties. Ben helped kill the Dharma folk and again with the help of Juliet beat, tortured and kidnapped Jack, Sawyer and Kate. Widmore has killed people in his quest to find the island again. All of these people lied, killed and did dubious things to meet there own ends and yet some people find them likable and root for them on the show..because?

Illyana's last name was mentioned as Radzinsky. As in Stuart Radzinsky, the guy who built the Swan and later committed suicide in it with Kevin.

The commercials leading up to the episode showed Sayid shooting down into the well. That scene never appeared in the show itself. Did I miss something somewhere or are they screwing with us?

That's what I thought she said originally, but i wasn't sure. I was waiting to see if she said it again - which she didn't, and caught verdansky on the sign behind the reception desk. Interesting name, Radzinsky and Verdansky :)

The implication would be she's his daughter. Interesting...

I wondered the same thing! It irritates me when the teasers flat out lie. I'm ok with them mis-representing something to make you watch, but not flat out lie.

If figured that either Desmond was really dead in this timeline (doubtful) or that Sayid took a shot at the side of the well because hew watned someone (the Locke-Dressed Monster) to think he'd shot Des.

But it never even happened. :angry We'll probably see it in a flash back.

If you notice...the previews in this season never say "next week on Lost".

and I heard and saw only Verdansky. No Radzinski.

so Jack jumps into the water with a full pack ? I guess it was s good thing that he only carried buoyant stuff in there!

The dude had enough faith that he couldn't die that he insisted on sitting next to dynamite as its wick burned down. Swimming with boots and a pack seems pretty safe by comparison! I was more bothered by Sawyer's bothering to swim with the rifle that would almost certainly be rendered useless by the water...

My theory so far:

Hurley will be Jacob's replacement. He's got the supernatural connection and is learning to be a leader. Jack will return to life off the island as a changed man (he knows he can't "fix" everything). Sun and Jin leave to raise their baby. Kate and Sawyer leave to be together. Lapidus survives to fly them home.

Ben dies doing something selfless for once.

Sayid repents but is then killed by the monster for doing so.

Miles dies but not before giving us some more crucial beyond-the-grave info.

Desmond will continue to be the bridge between the two timelines, doing something in the "X" timeline to help those in the original timeline.

Richard dies (hapily) perhaps in an attempt to kill the monster.

Adam & Eve will be shown to be Jacob and MIB's parents.

The monster will not be killed, but will remain trapped on the island.

That shot always looked cheesy to me. Looked like something done after the fact for the preview only. The sound and graphic seemed added after the fact. Not in post, but post-post. I don't think it was party of the story.

Adam & Eve will be shown to be Jacob and MIB's parents.

The only problem with that one is that Jack said based on the state of the bodies and of the clothes, he figured they'd been dead around fifty years. Jacob and MiB have been playing for 140 years that we've been shown, and said they've been playing for many more years before that.

I still think it's either Kate and Sawyer or Des and Penny going back to stop the Army from setting up Jughead in the first place.
