lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

So broxigar259 made the recent discovery that Paul's jacket doesn't use a wallet chain, but actually a chin chain(chin scales) from a vintage British pith helmet. They are hard to come by and rather expensive as well. The chin chains use leather or fabric on the back side for comfort against the wearers skin. Paul's utilized a white canvas fabric, but I found one that had leather instead and updated my jacket. It's missing a few rings from the bottom but I think it's close enough.

With the chain and the vintage brass drawstring pulls, man its elevated your jacket totally! It looks amazing! Can't wait to get mine on display.

I've been meaning to add an update but better late than never I guess. Managed to find a Cleo, its sharper than the original 1960's one I had but its not Markos version but I won't pass on it

Found a patch that I didn't think would ever obtain but I found a good picture of it that surfaced randomly which seems to show a little shine to it then later found an original sealed a few weeks later. The person purchased it from a bundle and resold it for higher, but still a great find. Seems like it was from Vietnam era then remade in the 80s for the normal population. It does seem to have a bit of a shine to it. First patch I've seen for sale since creating the jacket, so its extremely rare.

Well some lucky soul parted with some serious cash there!

A heads up for those just starting out there are 3 Hero Matadors on Ebay right now.

I can tell you that there are people willing to purchase these Cleo and Snake tapestries at high prices. I've also come across that these 80's tapestries seem to be getting snapped up for collecting or for fashion. Heres a Cleo cut for a jacket and I've seen others making vintage tapestry dresses, rarer the tapestry the higher value it is. I've managed to collect some myself that I'm going to hang, just haven't seen them before and they look cool, especially all the big cat ones. Speaking with a tapestry collector he's got over 40+ of them in a room and shed a bit of light on how they might of been distributed.

So the Cleo you say is not the Marko version, besides the fringe on the side how is it different?

It's interesting learning about all this old stuff and what's become of it. It's like finding treasure at this point. Who would have thought.

Mine has faded but I don't think it was as vibrant as some of the ones people have found before so it's a speculation on it being a different version from Marko's at least colouring wise but almost there. I have original 1970's version from someone in Turkey and it wasn't detailed, it looks like they refined them over the years. I know the snake lady has many different versions with the face, creatures in the background and scenery but oddly I haven't seen much changes on the Cleo.

The Snake Lady differences I think are mostly due to the fact the tapestries were screen printed and they didn't always get the patterns lined up correctly. That Cleo is still a nice score though.

Does anyone have a better picture of the "correct" anarchy patch so we can update the photo file. I know a couple of you have the real one and I'd like to re-do my patches with the correct version. A close up taken straight on would be preferable obviously. Thanks in advance.

Geez, this keeps happening when finding patches, post on the forum about a find and another shows up! Least we now know that there was either multiple versions (I'll confirm when I receive it) or 1 creator but different companies distributing it

Hi! I have never used this website before but I’ve been researching Markos jacket so I can start trying to make a (at least mostly) accurate version, and this forum has been very helpful. I was wondering if anyone has clear photos of the patches and tapestries so I know what to look for a little better. I’ve found good ones of the ladies, but not the others. I think I saw a few links for the smaller patches as well.
Thanks so much!
