lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

Someone needs to open an Etsy shop for these. Would love one but there's no way in hell I'd ever be able to make it myself lol.
Just re-reading the thread to make sure I've not missed any tiny snippet of valuable info and came across this.

Look at you now my friend. The master of replica Marko Jackets!

I salute your determination and tenacity.

Let this be a lesson to us all: You can do anything you put your mind to!

Ah, my prejacket mindset lol. Definitely was an investment but so worth it in the end! Just need to get that situated in my cave.

I don't know if I'd refer to it as an investment, but if that makes you feel better then sure:lol:
More like a labor of love. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your jacket is without question the most accurate replica made so far. Such a thing of beauty. I look forward to seeing how you incorporate and display it in your prop room.

Definitely a labor of love! And thanks man, I appreciate the nice words! Hope to see some other folk’s jackets soon here too.

Well some lucky soul parted with some serious cash there!

A heads up for those just starting out there are 3 Hero Matadors on Ebay right now.

Also has anyone here used Mercari before? Is it legit?

Hi guys~

Just wanted to present my work here as well, and to thank everyone that posted helpful resources. I've been reading all your posts and felt like I've had companions on this wacky journey. It was a very fun project, but it can also drive you mad sometimes:))

My biggest difficulty was finding the tapestries..and ofc they weren't the right size, so I just worked with what I could find. For many of the patches I made the vector designs in Illustrator and had them embroidered locally. Some were fabric printed as well, to lower the overall cost.

And the most interesting ones, were the 2 original chain-stitched, which I made from scrap fabrics I've had around, collage work.

Thank you again or all the resources, and if anyone needs the vector files for some of the small patches, lmk!

Hey that's really nice! I believe I even have the same peacock lying around waiting to be used or just trying to sell it. Good job!

Yeah, piecing them together and sewing the arms is an exercise in frustration, and is perhaps why my jacket hasn't seen much progress in like a year and a half.

In preparation for Halloween I got a nice wig from Arda wigs and had it cut and styled at a salon. I didn't know expensive wigs and wig styling could be lol. I'm pretty happy with it though the stylist did a great job with it.

I'm doing the left sleeve right now. Finished the right sleeve. Wow these pieces break your spirit on the arms haha. I just stared at these pieces for probably 30 minutes before starting to sew again. The worst part by far of putting this jacket together.
My best friend is the seam ripper. God knows how many times I've taken apart that sleeve and reattached the parts. I lost count after three, four attempts.
