lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

I'm back again, because I got the Lost Boy's book by Paul Davis. It has some really amazing anecdotes about the making of the film, but also parts that I think would be a helpful contribution to this thread (I hope! I went through all the other posts to make sure I wasn't mentioning things already said... but I may be... if so, deepest apologies!)

From this page in particular: David's buttons are all watch-faces!

Billy's jacket was distressed in a similar way that I distressed some of my clothes for Wasteland Weekend: drive them behind a car! In this case, a motorcycle...

Laddie's jacket was bell-hop in style in reference to the hotel falling into the crack, which is so splendid. And Michael's sunglasses were from LA Eyeworks:

Anyway, some neat anecdotes from this book! They cover a whole lot of the "making-of" but this is the primary part dealing with the costuming/jackets :)
That's awesome. Does it have any up close details on the boots or the painting for them i bought some but I had no luck deciphering what was actually on them.

You might just try searching on American ebay or something if that's possible. Facebook marketplace was a great place for me to find a lot of my tapestries. Depending on which you're looking for the stunt version or hero version you would probably have a better time looking for stunt version tapestries.

Yes that's me. Yeah I just saw a stunt leopard on poshmark still. But yeah I hunted for about 3 months before I found my hero leopard with the wrong color sky. So it's definitely a treasure hunt on all the online sites. I used to go to every vintage shop in my area too.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going for a hero Jacket if possible but I was under the impression both jackets needed both the Matador and Reverse Matador tapestries. I've seen a correct facing peacock with wrong colour sky and a wrong facing Cheetah so the right versions have to be out there somewhere. Has anyone done the correct sized images for contrado as i think Pennywise said the ones posted earlier in the thread were a little off. Also I forgot who it was that mentioned they were having the Squid Skirts made was that you?
You CANNOT do the leopard, matador, or peacock with Contrado unfortunately, only the ladies. You only need the hero matador not both, but can use the stunt if you want to. The peacock MUST have the red sky but doesn't mater the direction. It's most desirable to have the leopard facing to the right with the blue sky, but is not completely necessary if you not trying to be 100% accurate. Personal message me for further information so we don't swamp the post with a conversation.

Just bagged a Hero Matador off Ebay for $32 USD and last night found a pair of gloves that are similar ( No straps on mine i'll have to add them). Got my eye on some boots that may work (if the sizing is correct) but does anyone have any clear images of what's painted on them?
I got a pair of gloves and boots. Best I could match them to the original. I have no idea what's on the boots. I messaged Susan the costume designer and she said she didn't know either.

More than likely the boots were pulled out of Warner Brothers wardrobe and were some custom one-off deal. They look like they have Native American type artwork tooled and painted on them and then heavily worn.

That was you? I just watched this. So cool of you to do that. Don't know why the Prop Store is giving him such a hard time.
Yep! The thing with Sean and the Prop Store is there was already bad blood from a previous purchase he had made from them. Apparently he was not happy with the level of customer service pertaining to picking up an item. Then, the Lost Boys jackets they were giving him a hassle about getting "individual" COA's for each item. Honestly IMO both parties sounded like they could have handled the situation better. But, yeah I thought it was pretty awesome I could help restore such a cool piece of movie history and appreciated Sean's gratitude.
