lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

So I've managed to get another haul of items recently, but there are the main findings.

The draw pulls do vary in sizes, the right are the first ones I found, left are the new bundles, seems about 73mm wide.

Here is an original LtR (left) compared to a good Japanese reproduction. The Japanese one is 11cm, the original is 10cm.

You and Rusty85 always find the best stuff, you guys have great luck. I love the new brass pulls you found!

Hello everyone! I am ultra new to both this forum and RPF and am absolutely amazed at the community that's been built here! I am currently in the beginning stages of this massive project and have read through many of the suggestions and tips on creating Marko's jacket. So far, I decided I am going to make a 'Hero' version (If I can find the right matador) but maybe not go for 100% accurate. As much as I'd want to, I know I don't have the means to do so. I also decided I am going to hand paint both of the ladies to add a little personal touch to it.

I managed to get some patches from 'patchesbysonya' on Etsy and picked out ones I liked while I scour for the rest. So far, the main thing I need are of course, the tapestries. My gods what a nightmare it is to find them!!! If anyone has any extra ones or even scraps, please let me know! The Leopard one seems to be the hardest one for me to find.

Other than that, I will continue to look here for help with this ambitious project :))

This is a "Lot" but they may possibly consider selling individually.

Wrong direction, but will work if you're not picky about "movie accuracy"

Some people have used this peacock tapestry who couldn't find the correct one.

Oh my gosh thank you so much!!! I was able to snag this one instantly, I know the peacock one facing in the right direction is hard to come by so this is an incredibly lucky find!
The peacock can face either way (both ways are correct), it's the leopard and matador that dont. The three main tapestries do come up, if you look back a few posts I recently listed a "correct" leopard too. You just have to watch ebay, etsy, Facebook Marketplace and you'll find them. They don't last though and sell quick so you have to be on your "A" game. I assume you saw that page 41 has ALL the necessary information you were looking for. The two "lady" tapestries can be reproduced by a company called Contrado.

Thank you again for the tips! I looked through page 41 and found the info I needed. So far, I now have 1/3 of the tapestries and attempting to get the matador one. I will hold off on the leopard one until a 'correct' one pops up. I wouldn't have been able to get them so fast without your help! Thx!!! :)))

I had SweetlySynnD on Etsy make another Warrior bird patch. Turned out quite nice. There are just a few things about it that are a miss, but I'm a stickler for details. I'm waiting on another place to give me a quote on a chain-stitched one.
At first I thought this was a mistake, but then looking at the real patch I saw that it's actually like that too. I think it's a very nice job, and if you buy a chain stitched one I'll buy this one off you. You say there was some stuff you don't like, like what?

I think the yellow could be a little more gold, and the red hair/flames need a little more detail.

SweetlySynnD is one of the better patch shops, however my biggest complaint with her stuff (besides her poor communication) is I wish her stichwork was alittle thicker. Some parts on her patches you can see through the design to the backing. I've addressed this with her but obviously it fell on deaf ears. Look at us now being picky, remember five years ago when we were happy to just have anything.

Hello there! Been working on a jacket now for 6 months off and on between work and stuff. Gone through seven sewing needles, a bottle of aspirin....several copies from Contrado, and somewhere the is a cloud of obscenities in the shape of a unicorn hanging over lake Erie! Lol. Huge shout outs to Pennywise and PatCave for their useful info. This is not finished by the way.....

Excellent! Definitely worthy of the Wall of Fame. When you're completely finished post some good pictures and I'll put your jacket up on the wall.(y)
