lost boys MARKO jacket replica!

It is interesting what you're doing almost at this point I thought about if I ever did another one was to just use like "alternate" dimensions tapestries. Use similar ones but ones that are different which is the vibe I think you're going for. I would use a different peacock and matador while you're at it too. I think that would be awesome.

Update for new people for the "Ladies", the leg piece, and the Anarchy & Black skull patch. The leg and patches can be printed as "samples".
The vendor is Contrado
The pros of this vendor is good price, quality products, quick reliable delivery.
The cons are: their website is difficult to order from for the less computer savvy individuals.
When ordering the "Ladies" choose the Chi-Chi Furnishings Velour material, it is an excellent match to the original tapestries. The size is 20"×41", while this measurement isn't exact, it is very close.
Note: the measurement is for a movie size medium jacket, if your making a larger jacket it would be beneficial to make it larger by a few inches. Also, make sure you have downloaded the image in high resolution, you can verify this by zooming in on the image, it should be sharp and crisp. If it gets blurry it wasn't downloaded correctly, re-try downloading it to get it in hi-res.
The Skull and Anarchy are printed on heavy 14.7 oz. canvas, go to the "sample" menu and "portrait" 8"×5.75" format, up-loaded image, first click on auto-fit, then click down-size THREE clicks. They will also need to be taken to a taylor and have a black overlock stitch run around the perimeter to keep it from fraying. The patch dimensions are 4.25"×6.25".
The leg is printed on Chi-Chi Furnishings Velour same as the ladies and on a 8.25"×11.75" swatch. View attachment 1691549

I got to meet Kiefer Sutherland over the weekend and get my David coat signed. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly he was. Because of being on a budget I didn't get a picture with him, just the autograph. But then I went on the Chicago Fan expo website, and low and behold they had a picture of the back of my head with Kiefer. That's me in the orange hat, free selfie:lol:

that’s very awesome!

Sorry ya'll I think I got the last real correct facing leopard on the planet! Lol at least that's how it feels. I hunted for close to a month and a half on every site possible. I even started putting in the leg work and went to multiple flea markets, antique shops, etc in my area multiple times every week and couldn't even find one similar. Every night I looked on Etsy, Mercari, Poshmark, Ebay, Facebook Marketplace and did google picture searches until I got to the bottom of every page and this is the only one I ever found. Just a heads up for new people. You will have to do an ungodly amount of digging if you want a correct facing good quality leopard.

Wow...congrats....your exhaustive search makes me content about using my wrong facing leopard which is otherwise very close to the "correct" tapestry. May we ask where you finally found your prize?...just curious!

Yes Facebook marketplace. It seems to be the best place to find most of my tapestries. I did have a good amount of luck finding the left side facing leopard on Poshmark and eBay though. But my Peacock and the incorrect matador and the leopard I found off Facebook marketplace. I wonder if its a thing that maybe people now feel more comfortable posting on Facebook because its easy and convenient to them compared to making an etsy account or eBay account. A lot of them I searched "All" settings for shipping too. I asked all 3 of them to ship when it was set to local pickup.

you know....I've been giving this alot of thought and I'm now leaning on abandoning this venture....
reasons:
1) the time it would take...
2) having to cut up those vintage tapestries
3) the the unlikelihood of this "aging" fan to wear it as much as it deserves....

If anyone is interesting in making an offer for my tapestries and patches, let me know. I posted photos on the previous page.

Rockford Files TV show 1979
Funny how many movies and TV shows that patch has made a cameo in. I think the origin of it was from the 1971 cult film Werewolves on Wheels. Some of the other patches found on Marko's jacket can also be found on the jackets of the motorcycle gang Santans Helpers in Pee Wees Big Adventure, also a Warner Brothers film. The studios used to repurpose alot of wardrobe pieces, now it seems everything is made new for films these days.

Hey does anyone have any extra blue piece from the Leopard up top. I hate to cut into a brand new one just for this piece. Thank you if you do!

That part normally gets thrown away so if someone still has that part it's "extra" FYI. I unfortunately threw away all my scrap pieces but if someone is in the process of making a jacket it's nice to help each other out, remember that's why we're all here. It needs to be roughly 6" long. Thanks in advance.
