What are the Remington load/ejection ports like on this replica? Do they move or do anything when the pump is racked? Metal or plastic?
Just wondering, I don't seem to have seem much comment on the Remington parts so far.
The load port is hinged and as I said above hangs a little low (at least on mine), but is easy to fix. It's painted black, but I think it should be silver if I'm not mistaken. There is no spring, just gravity.
The ejection port slides back when the pump is slid back, revealing the empty chamber inside. One of SDStudios grenades WILL fit inside, but you cannot close the chamber with it in there as the forward wall is solid. With a long enough drill with a wide enough bore you could hollow out the grenade barrel all the away to the ejection port and then glue the grenade to the front of the receiver/firing pin (whatever that area is). That way when you rack, you see a grenade get "pulled" into the chamber and then "pushed" into the barrel. The only thing missing is that thin metal tab that pokes out on the side, but you obviously can't mold on something in resin that small and thin, however a small rectangle of cut soda can or something glued/tacked on will look the part.
