Licensed Pulse Rifle pre-order

Well, when you compare them side by side like that you reall DO see that dreaded droop!
If I get the funds together to purchase one, I will certainly be making a phone call to HCG first to discuss resolving this issue prior to sending mine out.

Question for you guys who have the rifle as well:

Does the silver piece that moves when you rack the grenade launcher shake? That whole piece is loose on mine, and it rattles side to side when I rack it. :cry

All I can say is if I get one that droops HCG will be getting it back real fast, either for a replacement or refund.

I am sorry but I am not going to drop $900 on a defective product.

Droop or no droop , it's killing me that people are actually getting these things. I really though someone producing a metal shroud replica was a silly pipe dream and would never happen.

Damn you lucky bastards and your real jobs :lol

It's apparent HCG never intended to sell a product that dissapoints in any way, but you're right - no one should pay such a high-end price for a product that has defects.
If they are all like that, it's going to cost A TON of money for shipping, repairing and reshipping....it could hurt HCG pretty bad depending on how costly it becomes. Makes you kind of wonder exactly how much money HCG invested in producing these....that would explain the high-end cost.

Here is what I did to one hold the weight of the real Spas 12 and the Deactivated 870 ,I made sure it wouldnt droop of mounting it in 5 places ,especially in the back which I drilled and tapped for a bolt to go thru my washers for extra durability and keeping it level forever , 2 small screws in the front with the 8 barrel vent, 2 in the middle already in the adapter block and ,1 in the very back which is hiding beneath the shroud ,this is what it looks like before and after its built.......

Shouldnt all you guys ,after what you paid ,make HCG pay all the shipping charges and reproduce them at no extra cost to all of you for a new product ,there should be some kind of manufacturer warranty in that box for defects ,ISN'T IT ????

HCG had a problem with their 5th Element Dallas Korben guns (electronics) and did right by all the customers. Everyone needs to give them a chance before we get into a sky is falling scenario.

Also it might be a quick self fix.

Mine has not arrived yet, but I am not sweating this one bit.

Barrel droop is usually due to the barrel being too skinny.

What diameter is it?

The Hero PRs use the thompson barrel with a short extension.

Stunt PRs didn't have thompson barrels, IIRC the diameter is smaller.

I considered that the tapering of the barrel may cause a visual effect of the barrel drooping. However, the centerline of the barrel should still align with the breech of the receiver. It does not. So it's not a visual effect.

I'll fix mine if HCG gives me a procedure that does not void the warranty. Heck, I'll drop a real Thompson in place if I have to.

The barrel droop in these pix is not at all subtle. And it's not an optical illusion or any of that rubbish.

No one is saying it is an illusion or any of that rubbish. Some of the people that have received them have the droop and some of them have clearly said that they do not have the droop.

I fully expect HGC to make it right. They were very quick to fix the problems with the Fifth Element pistol, which meant almost totaly recalling the first run of them and sending new ones to everyone who wanted it.

I take it back. With all the new posts, there are definitely some issues in these pics. :/ Apparently some runs are ok, and others are showing a sag.

To any Pulse Rifle owner who is going to post a video of them holding this lovely lady, please, do NOT do what this guy does at 0:48.

You'll insult us, and embarrass her greatly
This is what is more commonly known as Betty Swollocks......not something you do while being filmed!!

OK, I got my OD in the mail yesterday....two points:

1. The SPAS assembly does shake...I was worried there were loose screws rattling around...but it does appear to be very loose indeed.
2. Droopage....
Look at the angle of the base of the SPAS compared to the angle of the shrouds....I didn't notice it yesterday.....but WOW can I see it today.

I really REALLY hate to say this because HCG has done an awesome job with the Pulse Rifle's......but this is a big issue!!

I have an update on previously extremely positive review.
I will admit, I was blown away by the rifle when I first got it, and I think I was not allowing myself to see the barrel droop issue.. I was just so happy to finnally get it..

But after I looked at it for an hour last night, comparing it to the prototype pictures on HCG's website of what its supposed to look like..I can, without a doubt, now say the barrel droop is definately there on mine as well. It might not be quite as bad as some of the other pics that have been posted, but its definately there, and unfortunately, its a deal breaker.:cry You can't have your pride and joy with a drooping barrel.. I just cant deal with it.

Its the same as the others.. The entire Grenade Lancher assembly and top barrell point down on an angle compared with the rest of the rifle..

There are 2 things I find upsetting about this situation...

#1 - The rest of the rifle is so nice.. It PAINS me to see a QC issue like this crop up. HCG did such a nice job on the rest of the rifle.. But it looks like the factory did not assemble these correctly! It seems like a Factory defect on the entire first lot.

#2 - This problem was already identified by people on this forum with the very first sample that was shown.. WE all raised our hands and said, "Wait a minute, the barrel is pointing down!" And I assume the issue was then forwarded to HCG and the factory... Yet these rifles were still shipped with a known defect to customers? I just cant understand it. What gives? Can somone please comment on this?

This seems like something that is probably present on the entire first production batch, so I assume we have a magor issue on our hands..

I would HOPE that:
1) HCG will immediately stop shipping product until this is fixed!
2) Recall the ones that have already been shipped.
3) Send replacements out with some kind of RMA #
4) Work with the factory to get the ones that have already been made fixed..... I am scratching my head over how to fix these, since many of these parts are welded together.. So I see no easy way of fixing this.

Not a good situation....:thumbsdown
