Licensed Pulse Rifle pre-order

HGC's site still says 'First Quater of 2010'. Maybe the Propstore figures that won't have them in stock and then shipped out to Customers by the 2nd Quarter, at least I hope that is what it means.

I'm at the point where I might have to cancel my order and try and get back the $750 that I have already paid in, if I'm able too. I've been out of work for 4 months and may have a hard time digging up the final $200 when the time comes.

Well, realistically it shouldn't take more than a couple weeks for Propstore to get them once HCG have them on hand. Hopefully they'll give us some clear info soon. 1st quarter doesn't really cut in when we're not IN the 1st quarter.

I wonder how much business is lost through cancellations when orders get delayed like this? I find that if I wait for something too long, by the time it finally arrives I tend to feel less excited about it.

Anticipation is all part of the fun :)

I assume January thu March is 1st Quarter.

Rumblings on another board that the 1:1 Alien bust is also delayed.

I don't think this is something to be overly concerned about - delays happen all the time with SS, Bowen Designs etc. Just par for the course in the collectibles world ...

Jan 1 thru March 31 is calender 1st quarter.
Nov 1 thru Jan 31 is financial 2nd quarter (for many businesses).

I know, confusing ain't it..

Yeah, I hear you. I'm kinda over this already. :unsure

I'll keep my pre-orders for now, but if it is in fact delayed until Q2, I'm going to cancel.

I did the 4 pay thing since it wasn't supposed to take this long to come out. So if I cancel I'm out $60. :(

Actually I used the 6 pay and they don't seem to offer that anymore so I have no idea how much I'm out if I cancel.

I went through the fiasco that was the Icons Pulse Rifle but I still feel pretty good about HCG. It's going to have to be a major delay before I start going after a refund. I think it's going to be well worth the wait. :)

-B89! :D

Well, if you want to get techinical, a fiscal quarter can start on any month other than January. I learned that the hard way (i.e. managing the destruction of files beyond a firm's retention policy). ;)

Regardless, I doubt HCG's shipping estimates work on anything other than a calendar year.

I'm not worried about them eventually shipping and I'm going to keep my order as long as I can. I've got the last payment saved away, but if I don't get work soon, I might have to use it.

Well, HCG have not let anyone down so far... as I understand it everything they've made has been more or less great. So I'm not canceling. I just hope I still have the cash when the things arrive!

Hi Guys,

No concrete updates on the Pulse Rifle ie. a confirmed ship date from the factory. We are still very hopeful of getting them in the first qtr of the year, but I cannot say that for sure yet.
The molds to produce the Aluminum shrouds are very time consuming, getting them exactly the same as the Hero we used for reference.
If we had made the shrouds from fiberglass, resin or plastic you could have had them last year....but you wouldn't want that.
Obviously we would like these to be completed and shipped asap as we have significant funds invested, BUT the last thing we want to do is rush it.

When we have something concrete you will be the first to know!

Incidentally the Alien bust, Lifesize Alien statues, Predator 2 helmets and Alien Chestbursters are all on their way to us & should be in our warehouse & shipping early February.

Thanks for the update Mark! Great to know a little about what's causing the delay. I can imagine that casting thin aluminum like the shrouds isn't the easiest task to get right.

Question: Will your selling partners (like Propstore) get the rifles at te same time you do (i.e. direct from the factory) or will they go via your warehouse first, like Sideshow does?

Yup. Fiscal quarters/years tend to be more internal than used as "timing parameters" for the general public; that's when most use calendar year figures.

Are the any slots still available for purchase? I've been holding off since 3rd quarter last year because I wanted to make sure everything comes through as projected. If the full run has been spoken for already, I may order mine through PoL.

Hi, Mark. Thank you very much for the communication and letting us know what's going on. It's very much appreciated. Obviously, the delay is irritating, but it's comforting to know that it's to ensure a quality item. Looking forward to it.
