Thegraflexgenie, to answer your original post, here is what I can show of esb lightsabers made of original parts.

from foreground to background:

number 1: Folmer graflex (no patent), real Otis activation board, real kobold clip (from a black kobold) fastened by magnets, rivets glued, wannawanga T tracks, real exactra screws. No holes at all in the flash.
2: Folmer patent graflex, real Heald activation card, real vintage kobold clip (from a silver kobold) fastened by rivets as holes where already present. wannawanga T tracks and screws
3: graflex inc flash, real Otis activation board, real kobold clip (from a black kobold) fastened by magnets, rivets glued, wannawanga T tracks and screws. No holes at all in the flash.
4: graflex inc flash, real Heald activation card, wannawanga T tracks, screws and kobold clip fastened by rivets as holes where already present. This last on is already for sale here but as listed, it doesn't have all vintage parts:

I think the hardest part to acquire is a decent circuit board.
Everything else is fairly abundant, so then it really becomes a case of money. The Kobold clip will seems expensive for such a small part as you will need the full unit, which will be many hundreds, so it seems a big outlay for such a small part just to rivet it to the flash unit. It's similar with the second red button although those can be bought separately albeit at a high price.
There maybe a delay if you're looking for specific Graflex markings and that may push the price up.
It's a lovely looking saber though. I much prefer it to the version in Star Wars.

nice work! The heald should work nicely - I have done a lot of circuit board ESB work lately, and the only thing better is to find one with industrial organized silver leads, so they're all straight. Minor difference though, I have a heald myself among my boards

Edit: that chrome tape looks a little worse for wear, did it come that way?
