Leias Blaster - DDC Defender (Drearian Defense Conglomerat) - got one, finally.

Additional there are small differencies between various Margolin variants. The ROTJ seems to have had the sleek end of the slide, the same as my Margolin has. I havn´t found a really good pic for the ANH end, but if MR has done their homework right (and not just used some random Margolin pics), the ANH had the wider end.

Nope. The MR Margolin is wrong. That piece up by the trigger is missing (the safety?). They also used the wrong size flash suppressor which threw off their dimensions for the ridged piece behind it (that piece is awful - WAY off).

BTW - The MR Margolin trigger doesn't work for legal reasons. They weren't allowed to make it work.

And unfortunately, the trigger isn't an easy fix to make it work like the E-11 was. On a side note, due to all the hobby shops closing down, I no longer have a source for any kind of decent paint. I was going to try Testor's metalizer paints. Looks like Hobby Lobby only has car colors and military colors. That finish is gonna be tough to match.

Thanks for your input, it´s always highly appreciated. :)

Isn´t the ANH-DL44-EE trigger movable?

Hey Michael

Too bad they drilled the barrel sideways during the deactivation process :unsure BUT there´s hope...

If you remove the slide, you reveal the area the barrel is attached to. You´ll see a small pin, which is all that holds the barrel in place. Get a punch and remove this pin, then make yourself a new dummy barrel.
Sometimes the gunshop even milled a slot into the mounting point which makes replacing the barrel even easier (can´t see what they did to your margolin, since you only posted -disassembled- pics from the left side)

IMHO both DDC´s feature the slide with wide end.

Only the first ANH blaster had a working trigger because it was based on a DENIX C96. The ANH EE was completely retooled and features a static trigger.

Hi Markus.

It´s not that bad - i prefer sideways more than underside.

I tried that already when it arrived, but the pin didn´t move - maybe due to welding the chamber? I might give it another try with more brute force.

Any idea how to get the frontsight off?

On all ROTJ pics it looks sleek for me - hoping for the BRs. :)

"Another quality product brought to you by OCP .... äääääh, MR."

Hurray! Three cheers for the ..... - whatever. :rolleyes

Be careful buddy...I contributed during the production of the MR DDCD ;)

The front sight is a simple press-fit, no pins, no brazing...

Markus

Wow are the holes due to newer laws there? When I got mine it didn't have the holes drilled through.

Didn´t you get one from me back the days???
If so, I had new -solid- aluminium dummy barrels made by the shop so these didn´t have to be drilled/ welded during the deactivation process

I so agree with this... Even if it's acollector piece, a blaster should have a moveable trigger. Without it it's just a static piece with no soul, not a weapon replica...

Ouch, this thread was quiet for over one year. :confused

But nothing that had been started is ever really forgotten. :lol

Today i decided to start working on this blaster again - i machined the flashhider and parted it from the round alu rod

Then it was chucked again (the paper saves the ready surface from marks when tightening the chuck), to machine the other end:

I threaded the end, and tapped the pistols barrel

Not that bad

Having enough free time today, i decided to make the grill, too.

With my mill still out of order i wasn´t able to mill the grill, so i had no chance to finish it, just sliding it on the barrel for the pic

Thanks for watching. :)

You're talking about the Han Solo blaster, right? If so, you are INCORRECT. It wasn't the ANH EE blaster that featured a static trigger, it was the Han Solo ESB blaster replica. I own the Han Solo EE and not only does the trigger move, it actually clicks the hammer.

Welcome back Michael :thumbsup
Seems like you found the energy to do "magic" again ...who gave you the needed push, huh!? :rolleyes :lol

Can´t wait to see more of your stuff!!!
