Lego movie Batman build Cardboard and foam.

Started a Lego Batman build. Friend works at a Five Guys so boxes were free.

Body Legs and the yellow paper head was done for size reference.





Head was built with EVA foam, first large scratch built thing I've ever built so it's a bit off but reasonably passable. Head is HUGE though.

yes! I plan to wear it to a con and go around yelling DARKNESS!

Made some subtle cuts here and there to round out the edges of the face a bit better, and dropped the ears an inch and a half because I felt they were too long

UPDATE: CONTINUED DARKNESS!!

So I know im working on this at a snails pace but we all got stuff in our lives to do. So to get a smoother surface to paint on I bulk ordered posterboard on ebay and then glued it on with spray adhesive. I managed to get the chest covered and painted with the black base coat.

yeah love your progress too! Friends suggested group cosplaying for a local con at the end of May so I suggested Lego Movie. So we got Batman Unikitty and Benny. Figuring out how to do the dome for benny out of cardboard/poster board is kinda leaving us stumped, since were having a hard time finding the dome patterns that is consisting of a bunch of triangles online. I've never had to make a dome so I'm not sure how to go about doing it.

Yeah Id love a basic dome to play around with. and I've seen that lego pep fig before but it seemed trying to properly upscale the pieces was rather laborious.
