For any Mad Max fans, a guy bought this and shipped it over from Oz...supposed to be the actual car that was destroyed when filming with a replica engine fitted.

Very loud, no power steering and about 6 miles to the gallon...

Dident we see this before? I belive a new members dad is the owner of this car.
Seem to remember him talking about it.

The replica is a superb Grant Page model, they run around $75-80.000 a pop but the background story is getting a little tedious, there were only two Bobs involved in both films,
ones in a museum in London and the other is peacefully rusting away on a private property in Broken Hill.
Great pics though.:cool

Yup, notice there is even a plaque on the engine saying "replica commissioned 2010".

Not sure how the, "it's the real deal" story got started,
but it is definitely a beautiful replica.

Great Replica....I wish I had the cash. A friend of mine was going to attempt Gooses bike a few years back.

Hello i Believe i am the new person you are referring to and i thought id mention the 6.5 litre BEAST of an engine has the plaque because the engine is replicated the original had seen better days

What an absolute thing of beauty! Ford Falcon Coupe, just Wow! If anyone hasn't seen it check out Eric Bana's "Love The Beast", it's an amazing film about a kid's love of this very car... i may have done a tiny cry!
