Ladies can be Iron Man too (everything but the shoulders, pg 35)

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

Nice job Laamberry. The helmet is coming along nice (beter than mine)
Hope to see more progress shots soon!

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

Kind of an unfair thread. :( ;)

Sure, ladies can be Iron Man. There is no female character that men "can be too". You know, for when we are in touch with our "feminine side". :sick :wacko :)

Samus from metroid is as close as I would get to a female character.. :lol

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

A little off topic (when AREN'T I?) but I need to shamelessly plug for a second. I'm running rediculously low on funds for my projects so I've decided to sell off my Captain America shield in the Junkyard here.

And while we're on the subject of money, I might as well mention my Scott Pilgrim replica Tshirts thread in there too ;)

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

True, but aside from the face that it got heavy after a while what was wrong with it?

Maybe add adjustable straps this time, dunno, can't imagine it would make a world of difference.

I want to do a weathered one with a much more detailed strap system for the back. Not to mention I'd like to do the colors a little darker next time :]

Just little things, I really just enjoy making them tbh

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

then maybe you should do a run of them, lol

If I finish my suit in time as well as the shield for our school carnival I'm thinking of strapping it to the back of my Iron Man suit since I've seen a few comics where Iron Man has the Shield.

On another note, between you work on your helmet so far and your Cap Concept, you'd make one hell of professional prop maker.

be careful with that comment about $400 getting a date... i'm SURE people would pay that ;)

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

laamberry, u should get a resin kydex shield, not heavy at all

The one I made isn't heavy at all :] after like a straight two days of carrying it the strap made my arm a little sore but it was really nothing. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Re: Ladies can be Iron Man too (new pics page 18!!)

Love your Iron Man suit, and Captain America! They're coming out really well!

I really want to be a female version of Dr. Strange for comic con next year....but I'm pretty sure I'll be stuck in Shepard armor the whole time, hahaha. But if I get around to it I'm totally doing it...you've inspired me! ;D

Back on the workbench again.
I'm still having trouble with the detail lines, any tips?

You could use a hardened punch, or a scribe, or maybe one of those pointy things dentist use.
