I have used aluminum black...it works great! It gets that nice dark shade after a bit like gun metal that's been blued but older looking... very good takes some getting used to just like perma blue...sgreed , I like the gun..who knows maybe that angle is more comfortable??? I too look forward to the review!!

I keep seeing clear grips. I want a pair of clear grips so fraking bad. I have a kit set aside for nickle plating and the works. but have no clue how I'm going to obtain the grip's.

It still within the gray area for me. Iv'e asked rich If he would make a set. but he's had some difficulty's. I think I will ask him If I could pay him for the right to make one set for myself. just haven't gotten up the nerve yet..

Rich wouldn't care as long as it was for you and not for profit!!! He and I have discussed this! I want the Tyrrell Co logo on a pair of black police grips and Rich said if I cast it hell make the grips with the inlay in them for me!!?? He's cool about stuff...

From the pictures, how does this thing compare to the Tomenosuke? It sure looks good to me. Be cool to somehow see both side by side of anyone had both versions. Coyle said these guys have been building blasters for a long time.

They have!! I think they are made in the same factory!? They look very close to each other minus the slight difference in outer grip frames and grips!? Very similar...

Grips are not incorrectly angled at all. I just received the Takagi and made comparations with pics from Worldcon and PIH auction. Correct angle.
There are other minor inaccuracies, I'm doing a close analysis now. But grip angle is not one of them. As a matter of fact I think this is more accurate than any Tomenosuke yet.

Yes, Takagi has been building and studying blasters since 1985. In fact he was the first to publish back in 1993 the gun was made with Steyr parts and that the revolver inside the gun was a Bulldog. Way before Phil Stencheider; Craig Kovach and Rich could confirm this.
The blaster is not perfect, I could point some minos innnacuracies to you, but till this day is the more accurate replica. Sure I would have preferred a finish closer to the actual gun used in the movie, metal receiver and more metal casted parts.
I wrote to Mr Mune, who visited LA to see the blaster in person, and helped Takagi getting more information and details right, that even produced accurizing kits for older versions of the Tome blaster and he confirmed to me that whilo not an absolutely perfect replica, Takagi's blaster was the most accurate replica untill today, and given that Tomenosuke is not producing any more replicas, the Retailer Pro is their definitive model, I consider myself lucky to own a Takagi.
