Thought I would post some pictures of what I have been working on for about a week. I have all ways loved this prop.:love She is all scratch built. I have started working on the electronics and the pop-up mechanism at this point of the project. I hope to have the master done and ready for the mold room soon. :loveIf you have any questions let me know! Enjoy!

Re: Klingon tricorder project (pics)

People can say all they want about the Klingons not being bright but they can garner complex scientific information from their tricorders with only flashing lights and beeps...they dont even need a screen :)
I believe the protype tricorder actually had a little screen but in production was replaced with diffused leds flashing a random pattern.

Thanks everyone! :$I’m trying to build it as close as possible to the original. I will keep everyone up to date as I move along. I just finished the pop-up mechanism. Now I need to sand and finish so it is ready for the mold room. :love

I would be up for a kit. I do have one question, did you find the F-1 car that part of it was made from, or did you do it all from just plastic..Kev :cool

That part is hard to find. So it is all from scratch.....:love Except for the razor parts! I would like to say thanks to Richard A. Coyle for his great work that inspires us all. :thumbsup

Thanks,
