JURASSIC WORLD Owen Grady Costume

I have been trying to find a cheaper alternative for the rifle prop (the Daisy Red Ryder is great but more than I'd like to spend).

This toy looks like the best option for something that is affordable while being fairly close to screen accurate (still obviously needs painting, the right scope, and maybe a shorter barrel).

So the pants are a 5 pocket canvas in dark grey? What cut are they, slimfit, straight....? Does anyone have a good source for something similar?

I haven't read this thread but just chiming in. Jonathan A Logan is the creator of the vest for the movie. He is the most famous Hollywood leatherworker for costume design. He created the Fight Club Jacket, Transformers, Seven, and many more.

He worked on this film and has the original pattern and leather if you wanted it recreated.

Do you remember how long ago you bought this shirt?

It would have been around summer of last year.

GREAT find! Have been looking for a suitable con substitute. This'll do it!

Where's that pic from, augofett? It looks all wrong.

Image searched it and turned up this link: http://www.icollector.com/JURASSIC-WORLD-STUNT-WORN-OWEN-GRADY-WARDROBE_i22152292

It's definitely wrong and that's not even Owen's henley from the Bungalow (which by the way cause I hadn't bothered to post it is the white version of the Homespun Coalminer henley (a style only sold through J crew from the brand).

I think this person got jipped.

EDIT: But according to this auction with a tag on the shirt- http://www.icollector.com/JURASSIC-WORLD-CHRIS-PRAT-SHIRT_i22609600, his pants are LUCKY brand.

Yes, but the these gaps seem to match the details.
They are "asphalt grey".
If somene has acces to Pinterest there it´s in better resolution I guess.

Does anyone have good pictures of the Aransas shirt's color? I recieved the Columbia shirt and it's a bit dark/big. I can't decide if I should reorder a smaller size in the Columbia or try the Aransas...

Here is the "Provence" Aransas shirt from a few feet away:

Apologies if my lighting is affecting the color(s) at all but I think these pretty accurately capture how it looks in reality (for reference, the bedsheet underneath is pure white with a black pattern).

It looks pretty much like you'd think, based on the website photo but I'd say the blue(s) are a little paler and less saturated, in person.

From a few feet away, it resembles that standard light blue dress shirt that everyone has. But as you get closer, the pattern is more visible and you can detect the darker blues against the white. I think it would probably need a little dye of some sort, to even out the colors. Whether you used blue or gray or some combination of the two, I think the "off the rack" color is just a little too inaccurate for my eyes. But that's me!

One fun detail: a small Magellan logo (which is just this) is embroidered beneath the collar on the rear of the shirt and you could convince people it was there to represent Masrani.

Do you remember how long ago you bought this shirt?

I stopped in to an UO and they did a company-wide search of the SKU of that shirt and found zero in inventory. Since it has been at least a year or more since they filmed, I decided to email UO to see if there would be a chance at them restocking the shirt and this was the reply I received:

"I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this item is no longer available through our stores, website or catalog. Unfortunately, we do not have plans to reorder this item. We are continually evolving our line with the latest styles and trends.
If you require additional assistance or have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at service@urbanoutfitters.com.
Please include this email with your reply.

Sincerely,
Bradley Fearneyhough
Urban Outfitters"

I was able to find the shirt in Navy Blue on eBay - I decided to flip for it and get it even though it doesn't exactly go with the SA look of things for Lowery just in case I am unable to find anything else. Especially since it is not a printed design on the shirt - all of the little markings making up the design on the shirt are embroidered!

I got these glasses from Amazon and his Casio watch from Amazon as well.

Thought the same thing. But before I gambled away $81.50, I ordered this G-Shock knock-off. Same basic details , including the shape and the double clasp/double hole band. It'll do for now, until it gets ID'd. Actually not a bad everyday wear watch. Actually ended up ordering the army green one as well because I liked it so much!

From where did you order the knock-off? Could you post a picture of it?

I found cheap knockoffs of what we have surmised is probably the accurate watch (Casio G-Shock GA100 or 120) for sale here and here. FYI: both sites tend to have multiple listings for the same items at slightly different prices -- so make sure you get the cheapest price you can find. Generally, you should only pay $16 or less with free shipping.

There are YouTube reviews of the replicas from each of these sites and while a super eagle-eyed watch expert may be able to point out some discrepancies (and I may not completely trust the watches' shock resistance or water resistance), I think for a costume prop, these are the best options.

OK. So I think Owen enjoys fly fishing in his downtime. I think I have found THE shirt/s the one in the film is based off: Orvis Open Air Caster:

4A38SF5gunsmk_lg.jpg4A38SF5skyblu_lg.jpg

Comes in both Grey (Off Screen Accurate) & Light Blue (On Screen Accurate).

They have the accenting orange stitching both on the pockets and around the collar, correct box stitching on the left chest tab, correct placement of the pockets, and the textured material.

Already ordered both :D

That's exactly what I did! The total was around $85, which was about $55 more than want I wanted to spend, but I'm super stoked about getting this. I just hope the medium fits!

Amazing work, dude. Ordering one of these.

hey all, looking at putting his bungalow look together rapid. such a pain in the ass when these movies are made in the US and can't get the exact matches in the UK or they don't ship internationally lol, great find on the shirts by the way, i will be doing that look too eventually with the leather waistcoat, they should have stuck with one colour, now I don't know whether to get the blue or grey :facepalm

regarding the henley, i'm not sure it is the Jcrew one, it looks damn identical however in an image of owen's back it has some detail on the upper part like a semi circle. https://theinsightfulpanda.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/jurassic-world.png

the gap jeans look really good in the asphalt however i can't find them anywhere lol so the search continues.
