JURASSIC WORLD Owen Grady Costume

Yup - Bit the bullet for the Sheath from Dragon Leather - Hope I can track down the Auvenshine knife - Still haven't heard anything back.

By the way, a list would still be nice. I don't know if Augofett keeps the one on page 6 updated. If he could make an updated one or just repost it on the current page that would be awesome.

J.Crew was the only US distributor, and they're no longer available. You might find one on ebay or here in the junkyard, but I would just go with the Magnoli

You might check with your local Orvis stores to see if they have them. They were clearanced out, so not a lot left out there (if any)

So has anybody else heard from Steve Auvenshine on the knives? I've emailed twice & left a voicemail over the last three weeks & nothing. Anybody else seem to be on ignore?

BTW - Just noticed that Steve Auvenshine's contact info was removed from Dennis's webpage.

OK Folks....I've been lurking (not enough time to make JW stuff and post on threads....) and reading, but I felt I needed to speak up for Steve, who really doesn't do the whole interwebz thing.

Folks....you are NOT being ignored. At all. Please stop thinking that the guy is *ignoring* you when he isn't.

Steve is old-school. He isn't web-savvy, nor is he really internet-savvy.

Steve is like me....a one-man operation. Every block of 10 minutes to read then respond to an email is ten minutes spent not being productive. Stop and think about that for a minute....this movie is insanely popular. Both he and I get emails every day about our products. We aren't a company like JCrew, or Orvis, or any of the others that have hundreds of employees working the machines that spit out hundreds of shirts an hour. We are ONE MAN OPERATIONS, making these things ONE AT A TIME.

Now, I'll fill you in on his workload....he can turn out one knife per week if he doesn't do anything but work on the knife. No phone calls, no emails, nada. Since the movie's release, I've made roughly 22 sheaths for his knife alone. He didn't start making the knives and filling orders until mid-August. Lets say August 15th. That means, if he did nothing but churn out knives WITHOUT stopping to answer everyones emails or answer everyones phone calls, he would have made 13 of the the 22 knives JUST FOR THE PEOPLE WHO ORDERED SHEATHS FIRST.

Last time he and I spoke (mid-October?), he had over 30 confirmed orders for knives. Stop and wrap your head around that....its THIRTY WEEKS of work. I'm even on the waiting list for a knife....I got my order in to him around the second week of September. My delivery date is late March 2016, and I've already pushed myself back on his list because he was getting hammered by people who were promised a ship date and he was about a week or so behind.

Be patient, folks. I know that in today's fast-communications-world, everyone expects e-mails to be answered immediately. But the guy is seriously buried in these knife orders, and he will get back to you when he can. :)

Thanks Dennis - Just frustrating to not hear anything & wonder if I'm on the list at all when others seem to have been acknowledged in a couple of days. I'm sure he's incredibly backed up on these - My other concern is that as an artist Steve gets tired of copying this one knife & I miss out. Trying to stay cool though...
