Jurassic Park

Wish the set blueprints were put in the making of book. Would love to do a dio of the vistors center and a set of blueprints would help out immensely.

Hey guys - I picked up one of the rain coats/pants from Harbor Frieght and worked on a decent logo to do a jacket, my usual place I get things printed at can't do it - and of course the place that can do vinyl says "oh that's copyrighted" and won't do it for me. Any suggestions? - I was really trying to knock this out for Halloween do be Dennis, can of Barbasol and all.

Any online print on demand places that you'd suggest - hell I'd even pay someone here too now that time is running out.

Thanks,

In time for Halloween? !

My advice would be to find some adhesive vinyl in black, white & red and DIY. Tape down a print out and hand-cut it :(

Or ask local copyshops if they can print in color on adhesive vinyl, and be sure to explain it's for a Halloween costume. Show them a clear pic of Nedry in the jacket, too.

Good luck.

Thanks Mike J, I guess I'll chat with my local printshop I use with my day job and see if they have any options...

I got a local place to do some labels for mine - but they won't last - needs heat cure method and no one will do it... But it's good enough for Halloween I suppose. I need to get a barbasol can that is more period specific.. they just changed their logo.

It does look good, and ready for Trick or Treat, rain, and those pesky spitters.

Wait, OH! NO!, the logo is wrong, it should be red, not yellow.....scared you, right?

Meanwhile editing the brochure, enjoy the Kirby business card from JP III. I tried to make it screen accurate and this is what I achieved. Does anyone know what is the dimensions of the card? It'll be very helpful for me to print it.

Here's my version of the business card I made a few years ago:http://www.deviantart.com/browse/all/?section=&global=1&q=jurassic+park+kirby+business+card

Usually business cards are 3 1/2" x 2" in size (about 8,9 x 5,1mm)

Hi, I am making a HD version of the brochure, Heres the 1st page. If anyone interested I'll keep posting.

That's quite good! Especially the recreated border elements, they look good. Redrawn from scratch? I have one of an old run of replicas, reprinted from a scan of an alleged real one, but it has nasty scanning artifacts. Some day, I'd love to replace it.

Yeah, US business cards are 2 x 3.5 inches exactly.

Raptor98, another awesome page, and your business card, thanks for both!

Dietrich, thanks for the link to your card, great work, as always!

I created an extra layer on the scan and then painted all the lines using brush tool. It took about 2 days, the trike, brachiosaurus and raptor skulls are painted as well.

Depending on how comfortable you are with the pen tool in PS, AI is very similar.

I ask because AI can also 'auto-trace' artwork, to convert raster art into vector elements, which can then be tweaked / polished, etc.

Here's a scan of the Gallimimus silhouette from ... somewhere. Mirrored, but pretty sure it's the same source image for the silhouette on the cover of the map and the icons inside.
