Jurassic Park

I think you do not know what you mean, again observe many film shots (if you have that I do not think), the attachment just the black rectangle is far too long, and blue and yellow patterns are too low. do not talk about things you do not know.
If you insist.

See this screenshot found on the net, and already you will see that you are wrong completely and the card of the film is printing on photo paper and laminated, this is a badge is not in plastque, a little common sense before you speak

I'll agree there are differences but they're not what I would call 'significant'. I just didn't agree with your use of the word. Semantics.
Either way I think the game badge is a nice one and, for me, a suitable addition to my collection.

If you're not difficult so much the better for you, and if you just objects not too specific that's your right!

Caplan, please remember that the RPF a community of people who all have different knowledge and different resources. We use those differences collectively to help one another out. This forum was not created as a tool for people to tear other people down or to berate them, or to tell them that they don't know what they're talking about. The entire rest of the internet is reserved for that kind of junk.

But not here. Here at the RPF we thrive on the differences that we all bring to the table, and we embrace our differences and use them to help each other grow and to learn from each other. One of the main reasons for the RPF is to have a place for people to literally talk and learn about things they do not know. Please, just keep that in mind. A little respect before you speak.

I agree with what you said but I was being a little rude. That's why I backed down and agreed to disagree because it was mostly semantics. Last thing I wanted was to start a flame-war over some ID badges. Hopefully Caplan understands and we're cool.
:p

I think my words have be misunderstood, it is precisely to help this great designers who are on this forum that I express myself and to direct them the best in their achievements, if my words have hurt some excuse me.
Caplan.

Here are the best caps I can get of the ID tags. Unfortunately, they are so blurry and low-res as to definitively solve nothing but the simplest layout questions. Note that the concept art shows red Dymo tape for the names, and a title as well. The real IDs have neither.

Nice capts !

This is exactly the details I have given in a previous answer, the slightly offbeat black cartridge, "the hologram" transparent is not a sticker
the same barre- code for each ID and the series of numbers..

I have set of the JP adventure game by Telltale. I do love the items included, but indeed they are not 100% accurate to the movie. The ID card however comes VERY close to what I can see in the screencaps above...

But personally I'm not a real fan of ID-cards as "props"... Too easy to replicate once you have a good screengrab, in my opinion. Wallets with badges and ID's is another thing, but just an ID card? That's not something I'd put on display... So no ID tags in my JP props display...

ID's are too easy? :lol Over 99% of the JP logos out there are very inaccurate :p

If you want accurate, buy on ebay.

I wonder why people buy them. If you want as close to accurate, look no further than here.

As I said: once you have a good screengrab, or a picture of the screen used ID, it's pretty easy to replicate an ID if you know your way in Illustrator or Photoshop. Why would 99% of the JP logo's out there be VERY(?) inaccurate? The JP logo can be clearly seen in the movie or on JP promo material. Some of the DVD's / Blurays have quite a big JP logo on them: these are all very inaccurate according to you? I'd love to see the differences between these logo's and the "correct" logo, then. Very curious about that.

Didn't want to step on anybody's toes with my statement, but you have to admit that creating an JP ID is far les complex than creating a Cryocan / Hammond Cane / Nightvision Goggles /... , no?

That it is. Well from OUR point of view at least. I'm a Graphics artist so I think most types of graphics is easy(it might be time consuming, but it is still easy to do).

Many uses the wrong font. Most have one or a couple of missing teeth. All of them have very simplified curvatures/graphics. Even the official posters from '93 used different versions but they still have the detailed curvatures/graphics, same amount of teeth and so on. For example the jungle stencil at the bottom is a little different on the large subway poster than it looks on the regular sized movie poster.

So what do you consider "correct" then? The logo on the subway poster, the logo on the regular size poster, the logo on the DVD, the logo that can be seen in the movie on the vehicles, the logo that can be seen in the movie in other places?

I mean: if you want to go for 100% correctness, but Universal themselves used different versions of the logo, what are you going to use as a reference? Anyway, I guess this discussion can be in a seperate thread, since it isn't adding free paper props here... ;)

Well it is kind of related ;) it's the logo that appear on a lot of these paper props after all :p

Well seeing as how all the logos seen on-screen appear to match those of the film posters I would say they are all "correct". Same graphics - slightly different alignment/colors if anything, I would say.

There is no Accurates ID'S on Ebay (personal opinion) my boy made his own from the version on this thread, there has made some changes on my instructions from the memories I have kept my sreen-used, ultimately its ID'S are accurate without being very very close (just a few mimine details)

Excellent blueprint, so far! I like the level of details you add to the right side, with names, addresses, and the legend. I am most impressed!
