Jumanji board!

Wow that is simply amazing looking. I would love one of those with playable (perhaps drinking game) rules!

Here's a video of how the magnets in the pieces are working... Or rather not working :facepalm (It's not too bad... they are just a bit sideways friendly)

Man! Your paint job really makes it look like the real thing! Especially when the game pieces are sliding across the board! What shape of magnets did you use and how did you fit them inside? Im asking because i saw on the package tracking that they are in my state and should be here tomorrow!

Oh wow exciting!! I was just beginning to wonder if they were with you yet :)
I used 10mm x 1mm thick circular ones. But they don't really do it very well. I would go for Howlrunner's suggestion if I were you- putting 2 smaller ones side by side. Might work better. Also I had to put 3 in there and about 15 underneath just to get it to work :facepalm

Why not just us a small metal plate in the in the tokens and then use the magnets under the board.?

Ho-ly-crap.
Dude, you are a genius! But, I want the tokens to stick even if there arent magnets to move them. So i still think im gonna go with magnetic paint and square magnets in the bottom of the tokens.

Very Cool! I have always wanted one these! Please say that you will be offering kits! What we need to now is make a display to go in behind the dome so we could simulate that part of the game play.... :)

could you upload a video tutorial on how you paint?

Hmm I could do. What sort of thing would you like to see painted though? Obviously I cant paint the Jumanji board again. Maybe just a straight painting? Once you know how to paint you can transfer it to pretty much anything I reckon. :unsure

I would love to offer kits when I have been a member long enough. It's my plan to offer all the cast resin sections, unpainted. (So the front Jumanji logo, inner board, compartment lids and playing pieces.) As for the middle display... you'll have to do that on your own :p Would love to see someone do it though.

Well, I would have received them today, but the USPS left a notice saying "Sorry we missed you." and told me that I had to come pick it up at the Post Office. So I ran down there (quite literally) and asked for my package. They told me that the mail carriers had it with them all through the day and that I might be able to catch them finishing their route. So I ran around town trying to find him/her with no avail. Either way, they told me it would be at my local post office tomorrow (Friday) and that I could come pick it up anytime after 9:30, which I will be there AT 9:30 so I can quickly paint them before I leave for a small trip at noon.
