Jumanji board!

Gemma are you selling the kits you spoke about?

I got a kit from her awhile back and it is a great piece. I fully recommend getting one if they are available.

I haven't worked on mine in a bit cause of other projects but I plan on focusing on it next.

Here are couple of pics of the actual status...

Patterns carved:

...and first round of dye applied:

...generell overview:

I am already a step ahead ... additional layers of dyes added and sanded down again in between.
Top parts (resin casts) are covered in all black now..

So new pics to follow soon :D

And some new pics ;)

This is still not the final coloring I want to achive... But first, the Top lids will be painted and sealed. Then I will do the rest ;)
Oh... and the Color is actualy already darker in real. Pic is taken outside / in sunlight!

Let me know if you have a specific question ;)

Thanks for the feedback Greeky04... personaly I do not think I am talented on that kind of things.
First you need some the correct tools and "a good plan" ;) And some patience to do it right. I do
hope that the final result will be "close enough" to what we see on screen. I will keep you updated
with further infos. about my board if you are interessted. Thanks again!

Looks like this board is getting some attention over at the chive

Cool that Gemwright get's the attention outside of TheRPF as well :) Thanks for the link mattycsi

The top lid carvings still needs to be painted on my own board :( Too many projects running at the moment.. lol

It looks great but my girl friend says she feel awkward to keep a Jumanji Board at home as it would scare the hell out of her.

I'm with girlfriend on this one. My wife had a Ouija Board, I swear, the thing would stare at me out of the closet. We managed to get rid of it amidst moving into our own place. Foolish creature even used it in a graveyard... And she wonders why she has spooks.

Eurgh... this thing is BEAUTIFUL. I'm getting nostalgia looking at this finished piece. And yes, I'm late as all get out, but I need posts, and DOSH GARN IT, I used to get the heebie jeebies watching this film as a kid, this is perfect!

Found some time today to finish the outside of my Jumanji Board :D Ok, it is still not entirly finished, but it is not time to Focus on the inside.
Here some pics of what I have done...

After the "carving parts" have been covered completely in black (see my previous post) I have painted
all parts with full colors. Second & third layers to work out details by dry-brushing.. (for example the leaves in this pic)

After that all areas got some "washes" applied to blend in the Details. Here's the result...

... in full daylight:

... in house:

Hope to get the inside and with that, the Board finished soonest possible :D
