John Hammond Jurassic Park costume

Dr. Jones Sr:
I thought I'd share my efforts at both John Hammond and Dr. Henry Jones, Sr. By honest coincidence I, too, chose these characters to cosplay, although I must bow to your experience and expertise and in the case of Jones, I'm heavily indebted to you for all the information you have posted on the character and his costume. I'm a great deal shorter than both you and Connery, but I think I've managed to capture the outlines of the character. I hope you approve.

Regards,

Barry

It's been a while, I've done Hammond at several Cons, it's an easy to put on and super comfortable to wear costume.

I acquired a new hat. My original hat was more of a "plantation" hat style, the brim was too wide and the top too tin-can-shaped.

Whenever I see a hat shop I look for a Hammond-style hat and a few months ago I found one. It's a cheap hat but the style is bang-on.

I've been working on the watch tips but didn't get them done in time for WonderCon yesterday.

After years of looking I finally found mens-watch-size watch tips in gold colour (gold wash, not gold plated).

I'm removing the Turquoise and I'm going to put in little Amber cabochons. Here's a couple WIP photos, and I pic of me at WonderCon yesterday.

I love that I have to separate the actor from your posts in my mind. I see your pose and it is just like looking at him. You really bring this home.
