Jawa ION Blaster Holster Help...

Hey all,

So, I'm 99% of the way done with my lifesize Jawa display/costume, except I need to either buy or make the blaster holster.

Does anyone have some good pics to go by or if someone maybe even has a template I could use to make it myself?

Has anyone here made repro holsters before?

Any help is appreciated.

Yea, I was gonna start a thread about this very topic. I'm doing a costume for my daughter... There's one on ebay, but it doesn't quite look right. for one, it looks like the tip/end is flat, and the screen one is big and round.

Was this a found item (likely) or a custom piece? Anyone?

Looks like there's a few different types of holsters used...

note the later model Graflex Graflite with cord plugged into it, in the 3rd image.

The best reference would be the high end Jawa statue from Attakus-the sculpt is amazing and there was a lot of detail on that leather on the holster and the "power source" for the ion blaster... hope these pics help!

Thanks for the pics, PS and DCB. What is the width of the belt you made, DCB? 3 inches, maybe? Do you make these for others?

Yup - 3" exactly. I used to make them - well, I made full Jawas. I made a pattern for the holster, but have since lost/misplaced it. It wouldn't be too hard to remake a pattern. Maybe I'll do that and post it here sometime if I get a chance.

Yea, I suppose I could throw one together myself, but yours looks very good. I'd love to see your pattern, if you locate it. I was even looking at maybe a modified rifle hoster.

Great work! Definitely a favorite prop character of mine. Have you made any of the other bandoliers from scratch or bought the originals? The Enfield five pouch version is the perennial favorite for Jawas it seems; have you gotten or made the Boer War version...?

great work!! do you have any more pics or a pattern i could borrow? this item is on my short list to complete, as i have a jawa robe and mask newly completed. also need to make an ion gun.

I need to post the pattern but have not done it yet. I looked at the picture above the LFL one the Jawa has on and made it as close as I could get. Not that hard too about 3 hours from start to finish That one was my 1st the 2nd one looks better. The Ion Blaster fits in it too. see more pictures just go to www.tk1336.com the jawa page.

Soon as I figure out how to post it so a person can print one on 2 to 3 sheets of paper. it has 3 parts to it, Plus the shoulder strap is 3" X 46" for my Jawa.

Were you ever able to upload the pattern for the holster? Constructing my daughter's costume for this Halloween now and trying to cover my bases.

Didn't want to have to do it by eye/scratch, but I guess if there's no other option...

There is some nice ref. out there though.
