Thanks...il probably end up molding it and rework the casting to make it more accurate. Still need better ref pics. Anyone able to grab me some bluray screen grabs of it?
Both the head and the necklace look great! Man, you cranked that pendant out quick! It really looks top notch esp being from memory and a few screen caps!
As cool as I think lifemasks and deathmasks are... few people can actually get a result like this! They always look dead or asleep. But WOW this has REALLY shaped up Chuck.
Only reason it's creepy now is because... well.. Jareth WAS creepy!!!
Well, I was referring to the necklace. When looking at the pictures I thought you were showing off screen captures of the real prop. NICE.
The bust is great too. I think with the changes to the eyebrows and eye make-up it'll turn out so much better. His skin tone still has a bit of an orangy feel - could be the flash. But skin tends to be more towards a reddish color... more mottled and with the veining faintly showing through. But hell... even at this stage you are a far better painter than I am.
Bud my pc took a crap so I've haven't been able to grap the blu-ray screens for ya but to be honest your necklace looks far better the the licensed one except for minor details and actually I hope you offer a casting of yours... But I still will post up pics of the licensed necklace .
I'll take some later and post them here. Just to be sure. It's the one at the end, where Sarah is chasing Toby around the weird staircase labyrinth, right?
That's right TMG the staircase scene. Also redoing the eyebrows...complete sculpting back of head and neck and repainting. Holding off on repaint till I can do the costume.
I take it this is about the concept you are going for?
If you can get that tilt to the head going, then a bare hint of the shoulders and then the hand with the crystal appearing in front of him... then you'd have one cool looking piece.
And not only are his pupils different sizes, but he has a slight cross-eyed effect going on, with the right one teetering slightly out towards the side, so he doesn't look straight ahead - the eyes are not appearing to look in the same direction. I think that would add to the effect.
Looks like I picked the most difficult costume to do..lol...lookin at the pics its almost like an Alien exoskeleton- the leather chest vest. Gonna be a real challenge. I also noticed his wonky eye drifting to the side- very cool.
