James Bond: Skyfall

Heh. You can tell I was being sligjtly deceptive with my words there.

Campy Bond was fine in the 70's and 80's but even the later Brosnan films were too campy for me.

Absolutely. Brosnan had one good Bond film (Goldeneye, although the pre-credits in TND were AWESOME).

Really? I thought Tomorrow Never Dies was his best. Brosnan had the makings of a great Bond, but he was seriously hampered by bad scripts. Die Another Day made me totally lose hope in the franchise.

I couldn't agree with this more. Goldeneye is the ONLY Brosnan Bond film I like, and it's one of my favorites. Couldn't stand any of the others. Well, that one with Robert Carlyle as the villain who couldn't feel pain was pretty cool.

Brosnan did have the making of a great Bond. :thumbsup

TND had a very forgettable villain and Bond girls IMO. It certainly had moments and is light years ahead of TWINE and DAD but still not very good I don't think. Goldeneye had it all.

Not quite. Goldeneye had a Bond car (BMW Z3) which gadgetry and armaments were NEVER put to ANY use. That in itself was criminal. :p

It also had him driving a tank through St. Petersburg. Your argument is null and void. :lol

I prefer my Bond with less gadgets anyway. ;)

No no, I'm talking about The World Is Not Enough, Halle Berry was in Die Another Day. I wasn't a fan of that one, nor am I a fan of Halle Berry, but I'm definitely a fan of her boobs.

That reminds me, I need to watch Swordfish again...

Hell, I'd take a Kamen or a Zimmer score over that garbage used in Goldeneye. It's the only thing about it that keeps it from being a definitive Bond movie, IMO.

Now that was a great movie!

The music in the film was FAR superior to what they released on the soundtrack. I thought it actually fit the film very well for the time.
