James Bond Skyfall Props

No most people wear watches in the UK atleast I'd say 8 out of 10 guys 18 and up wear watches

True, I can't speak for the UK.
-Then again, the few times I've been to Europe, a lot of guys were still wearing cuff links and Members Only jackets.

anybody bought one of these yet? Curious about quality... I know it's only $27, but I want to be sure it is worth $27.

I've found, at least here in the states, that guys around 27 and older wear watches, but younger people don't. I wear one pretty regularly. I'd LOVE to get myself an Omega, but as a young newlywed starting college, it isn't going to happen.

I wear my planet ocean or first gen seamaster 300 almost daily and actually wear cufflinks quite often to I've never been anywear where most guys aren't wearing watches amongst the younger kale crowd sad as it is your watch is a statement of who you are my brother loves the big Armani or D&G watches with diamonds and occasionally he wears a Rolex I hate large watches (in the ostentatious sense as my plannet ocean is a 42mm which is big in my skinny wrists lol)

Yes, most Firemen and EMT's do and I would place them in the same Law enforcement, military, para-military and pilot group.
-You guys are making my case for me ;)

I actually stopped wearing watches shortly after joining the military, it kept getting snagged on things on the ship. Now I only wear one when I dress nicely or go somewhere fancy.

I took the plunge and ordered the cheapo spring airsoft PPK... I'll let you know what I think.

Looks more like a PPK/S than PPK unfortunately. You are licenced to import that I hope. HM Customs are red hot on replica firearms since the VCR act.

I'm still unclear about the minutiae that differentiates a PPK from a PPK/S... It is close enough for my needs anyways. I'm stateside and haven't had a problem importing airsoft guns in the past.

The bigger difference between the two is that the PPK/S has a longer grip

PPK/S will take a 7 round mag. Gives you one extra round over the PPK.
The only reason the PPK/S was developed, was to get around "Saturday Night Special" laws in the US, that limited the import of "mouse" guns under a certain frame size.

PPK has a seven round mag. PPK/S has an eight round. As we are talking Bond, that's 7.65mm of course.

I thought the PP only came in 9mm?
I wonder what they had to do to get it to mate with the .380 or, god forbid, a .32?

Nope, came in .22 LR, 7.65mm and .380.

Apologies, I was confusing your post with another person over the pond.

That's all good info to have, but for a static display of a bunch of bond props, the cheap gun will fit. People will see it and go "hey- James bond's gun!" an that's about all I need for now. This isn't an easy hobby to do on the cheap...

Maybe that's how you feel but others on the board want as accurate as possible replica for their collection. I know I'm one of those prop enthusiasts that try to get down every detail.

Oh I totally understand that! I hope I get to the point that I can be that discerning and have everything 100%- I'm not trying to take away from that. For now, however, I have to do the best I can with what I have to work with.

Its a actually a .380 ACP but can also be called a "9mm short"

That's how Q refers to it in the film.
