James Bond Skyfall Props

Bad question time: has anyone found the knife that Kinkade lends to Bond for the finale? The only thing I've found about it is that thespyboys11 of the ajb007 forums knows the shop making them but refuses to post details. Which was two months ago. (It's not coming up when I search the thread.)

Well there are conflicting reports on this. Spyboys says it's definitely a US maker, but two independant guys I know who worked on SF say it's definitely not. I'm meeting one of them next Friday and will ask for more details.

Thanks Asp. I kinda figured Spyboys was embellishing the truth a fair amount. It's odd that there's so little information on the climactic kill weapon.

I certainly didn't mean to say that Spyboys was wrong, just that it hasn't been confirmed either way yet for sure. It's not a piece I've really looked into as you hardly see it. But I've just sent emails to the prop contact and the armoury contact I know. What I do know for a fact is that the sheath is a deep seated Swedish design used with bushcraft knives. It was modified for the knife to fit and was not made for the knife specifically. The knife was also not bought as new. This makes sense as a new knife would obviously come with a corresponding sheath.

The production of Skyfall went out of their way to use as authentic items as possible. It would seem odd that they would approach a US knifemaker for Kincade's knife, when Scotland/the UK are full of cutlers that make outdoor knives and would be the more authentic choice. But we'll find out.

Isn't the knife in the finale a Buck? I have a Buck 120 in my Scream collection and I swore it was the same. Just going off memory.

I'm just starting to get into 3D printing so I may make a radio. I really want to start working on an accurate ppk

James Bond needs to stop wearing wristwatches.
Nothing gives a cop, fed or military away as quickly as wearing a watch. -They're the only ones that still wear them.

About 6 months ago, my partner and I were on a 727, flying from LA to Chicago and we decided to play "spot the Air Marshal".
Took us 10 minutes and two trips to the restroom.

You obviously don't get out and look about much. Most people wear watches.

I wear a watch or use one of my pocket watches. In fact if I am not carrying a pocket watch I'll wear a watch everywhere except the shower. I'm blind without my glasses and I don't want to have to grab my glasses to read the time, so I even sleep with a watch on.
