Jaffa Staff Weapon - Completed Build

Thanks guys!

How long time wise have you spent building the prop? Man hours?

I honestly can't tell. He called me on May, 4th and the convention started May, 29th. I use a lot of - for me - new materials and techniques (like stacking slices), so there was a lot to figure out :wacko

Oh, and here's a little treat for you guys - my friend allowed me to post this here, so it's NOT me on the picture :ninja - the reason he wanted to have the staff... and you can't really argue with that, can you?:


...and he told me that RDA complimented him on the Staff Weapon, saying something like "looking great" or so (don't know the exact words) ... my ego says "thanks" :cool

A thing of beauty. I particularly like the way the "copper" corrosion sits in some of the cracks, lighter than the base materials.
