So jealous of all you guys, i have had to put a little hold on mine because of work and school. :cry hopefully with in the next week i can resume the build. I have some new foam i have to order too. the last stuff i got was not what i was expecting at all. :angry i found a great deal on some anti-fatigue mats ( 144 square feet to be exact ) on amazon for $89.00!! and it is 3/8" thick. the last stuff i got was closed cell foam from foamorder, it is ok, but too flimsy.

Ladman can you take a pix of the closed cell foams you got.. cuz i ordered from the same place as well. Its in SF so I was about to go pick it up this saturday. if its too flimsy I might just cancel the order...DAMN IT...not thats gonna put a dent in my time of making this too :cry

Ill take a picture of it and post it here for you tonight. I was shocked too when i got it. it might still work, but it would take a lot of re-enforcing to make it stiff for painting and wearing. the anti-fatigue interlocking mat's i found on amazon are a lot stiffer. Here is a link to it:

I cut out a template that is the same size as these tiles. That way i can cut out my foam templates and place them on the tile template and see just how may i was going to have to use. 36 of these should be more then enough to build my suit, and they are cheaper then the closed cell foam i ordered. I can still use the closed foam for areas of the armor that are lower and shows detail.

also, i had some of these tiles laying around in my basement under my gym equipment. I cut up one of them to test how it strong it would be once glued together. It was way more secure when i glued the interlocking mat together then then closed cell foam as well. just some food for thought. the closed cell foam glued together with the hot glue, but it was not a secured after it cured.

The shoulder cannon is scaled the same as the upper and lower torso sections. You could vary it a little if you wanted to for some reason, but sticking to the scale that your torso is at looks great.

That looks pretty flimsy--is that the Polyethylene Foam, EVA Foam, Volara, or FloTex Foam?

humm...I was going to buy from them thinking I could purchase large sheets and combine my build in to big pieces, but I may just buy the gym floor type foam from amazon.

Ladman- I wouldnt use my render for paint reference its not that accurate i just threw it together the best i could to show all of you



I exported the full suit into pepakura and determined that the height of the suit in default scale is 6' 9.6" everyone

Wooow been away for soo long and so much is up..ive been twiking my lower torso put clip instead of valcro so it will stay on and mod abit on the croch area just like my mk 7 soo it looked neat.. And foam scrap.. I rebuild my war machine gattling gun... And last.. Guys your suit is awesome :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Hey so I found the eva grade in a large format. Its perfect!! Blue and Black :lol a bit pricey but worth it. I guess this with StryoSpray 1000 should be good.
