Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! V2 files coming soon!

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

I had to do several cardboard attempts at the helmet before i got mine right, I use 0.930000. that is for using 1/4 inch foam, and i still have room for electronics.

ShockBlade501- Looks great! Do you plan on fiberglassing and bondoing it when your finished? Cant wait to see more!

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

Jackiesrockin- Thanx! I wont be using fiberglass or bondo on this one, my goal is to have it ready by the movie premiere (really gotta work fast). But i am spraying the inside with that "Flex Seal" stuff (liquid rubber), mostly in the cod area for reinforcement. That was about 5 or 6 days of work, so there will be more soon!

Got some pictures of my work in progress. Waiting for it to get a bit warmer so I can get the rest of it resin-ed. Also need to pep the helmet, neck, and shoes. Other than that pretty excited how it is going so far. Any suggestions? Any glaring issues?

I don't think I ever want to go back to the paper route.....I love foam too much. I like being able to build and go. I still have to paint the star and make a helmet.... :D

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

this is amazing work, I'm already committed to a Halo build, but I think in my spare time I'm going to take a crack at this... I just need to wait for a replacement printer and more card stock. Only bad thing about living in SE Alaska... the time it takes to get new materials.

will not be like the ones I've seen (which are beautiful) but I'm trying to do everything in the best way

What materials do you use to create your armor?

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

I've done a lot of pep and I seriously just threw my cutting board across the room while cutting out this Patriot helmet. Some of these pieces are just awful.

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

My first Patriot helmet was a PITA as well, mainly the front top of the helmet and between the eyes. No fun at all.
