:lol Thanks Ladman that helps :) but from that pic i cant really see the front of the boot (where the toes would be) so if anyone has pics of that part specifically that would help a lot as well :)

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

I just got done looking at every search engine that is worth a damm, and i can not for the life of me find a pic of the bottom of the Mark42 suit. Sorry Jackie.

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

Fantastic work on this thread - it's luring me back to build another suit. One question, is a brace (undersuit) needed or recommended for the IP suit built in foam? A brace was included with Robo3687's MKIV/VI files. I used it in my MKVI foam build; not sure if it was necessary.

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

I didn't need a brace or anything for mine. Worked just fine without it. A seperate neck file is provided which I extended with a bit of a bib like part so it didn't have any gaps under the upper torso, but everything else worked fine on it's own.

I have started to build my own undersuit for the IP armor. Its made out of foam. So far i have one Flight Stabilizer done for the right arm. You can see the progress for this on my IP build thread. It is not unnecessary, but i found that when i was walking around all day in it, the i kept adjusting and pushing up on parts to but them back where they belong, that's why i started to make one.

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

Gladiator- A brace is not needed for the suit at all. However some people (Ladman and Xrobots) have made a brace for many parts to have the armor sit on them better but its not 100% necessary only if its what you want :)

Irongatsu- Looks awesome!!! Cant wait for the paint!

IronShwarma2754- Thanks for the pic!

Thought I'd share my Iron Patriot helmet. Made out of foam, only spent about a weekend on it. Went for a more battle-damaged, worn look unlike the shiny new pictures we've mostly seen. Pretty happy with it for just being a fun little project!

Careful.... It starts with a helmet... It ALWAYS starts with a helmet...

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

does anyone think that using a piece of plexi glass and sanding it would make it transparent enough for an LED bulb and give off a glow rather then seeing the bulb its self on an arc reactor?

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

DarthDan95- Looks good! Paint looks spot on also! :thumbsup

Ladman- Great link! And about the plexi glass, im not too sure if it will work correctly. On my MK VI, i used thin plastic, sanded and frosted it, and the end result wasnt too good (you could clearly see the LEDs underneath) but thanks to Teragon's tip, i used white plastic (cut up trash can) and it difuses the light awesomely :) But plexi glass still may work you never know :cheers

Re: Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! Check out page 66!

you'll need a difuser film because even if you sand it, you'll still see the bulb's bright spot, it wont even out like you would think.

I totally forgot about the trashcan idea. Ill give that a try.
