Limited Run Jack Sparrow Sword (All Metal Replica) with Scabbard -SHIPPING!-

ok.... so I walked in yesterday, picked up the DHL package, carefully opened the end and pulled the sword and scabbard out. Checked out the detail on the scabbard, pretty nice indeed. since my costume is CotBP, I'll now have to watch it again to see what, if anything, needs to happen to the scabbard as far as weathering (I kind of like it how it is). Then I unwrapped the foam from the sword... veddy nice! I'll admit it was darker that I'd thought it was going to be. The hilt is blacker than I thought it would be. I guess the preview pics with flash made it shine more. However that is a very good thing. It looks for all the world it has seen a lot of action and has been around for a long time. A lot of swords I've handled just don't fit my hand well but this one seems to be made for me. it seems to be made very well and while I'm no expert, It seems to be light and well balanced for what it is. It's easy to be Capt. Jack and whip it around much quicker than what I'd expected (enough to freak the dogs out for sure...they are afraid of it now :) ) I have a WWII Japanese sword that is much harder to handle. My wife who knows very little about these sort of things was very impressed by it too. Indy, I'm very happy with this. Thank you.

Hey I agree that it was a tad darker in places than I would have liked. So took some fine grit sanding block and some steel wool to select areas and looks better IMHO.

Good idea. I'll most likely do that as well... just to give it a personal feel. We can never leave things alone, can we? lol

Now I need a more SA baldric for it... it never ends....*sigh*

Ain't that the truth. EVERYTHING can/will be modded. :behave

And there with you on the baldric as well. :lol Got to love this hobby!

I love that everyone is tweaking these to suit their preferences, from sanding the hilts, to re-oiling the scabbards, make these your own! I rarely leave things as they are, so have at it, gentlemen!

Here is a comparison between the artificial distressing on my JS cutlass and the genuine patina of an actual 150 year-old military saber:

Love my new Magonoli sword, just need a CotBP baldric to go with it, savvy? Any of you gentlemen looking to upgrade your baldrics give me a jingle. Cheers.

PM sent! God, coralling my friends for payment (I'm organising one of these as a gift) is worse than herding cats! Sorry Indy.

The "interest" list is now getting close to the 100 mark. So, I'll probably wait until it's full, then contact those who have not yet sent payment. After that point, I'll reorder the list and remove all unpaid names and sell off the rest of the stock as first-comes-first-served.

Thanks,
Indy

I've cleaned up the interest list to those who have paid. So, still got some of these left, if you want one, let me know asap. This is a one-time run, and will not be available again, once these sell out.

Kind regards,
Indy

Here is a good shot of the sword after the scabbard has had a really good rub down to remove the excess dye... shown here with my new baldric I just finished! :)

Don't forget to bend the tip of your scabbard!
