ok.... so I walked in yesterday, picked up the DHL package, carefully opened the end and pulled the sword and scabbard out. Checked out the detail on the scabbard, pretty nice indeed. since my costume is CotBP, I'll now have to watch it again to see what, if anything, needs to happen to the scabbard as far as weathering (I kind of like it how it is). Then I unwrapped the foam from the sword... veddy nice! I'll admit it was darker that I'd thought it was going to be. The hilt is blacker than I thought it would be. I guess the preview pics with flash made it shine more. However that is a very good thing. It looks for all the world it has seen a lot of action and has been around for a long time. A lot of swords I've handled just don't fit my hand well but this one seems to be made for me. it seems to be made very well and while I'm no expert, It seems to be light and well balanced for what it is. It's easy to be Capt. Jack and whip it around much quicker than what I'd expected (enough to freak the dogs out for sure...they are afraid of it now

) I have a WWII Japanese sword that is much harder to handle. My wife who knows very little about these sort of things was very impressed by it too. Indy, I'm very happy with this. Thank you.
