Thinking of trying this out of real wood and all.. but I'm not sure what sizes to ask the woodmonger for. How accurate are the dimensions on the SC pdf file? And do we know how thick the wood stock is?

I'd really like to stick to traditional materials though. Something just feels wrong about a plastic old timey compass.

Still though -- how true are the dimensions of the toy to the real thing? For that matter, how true are the MR replica dimensions to the real thing?

Toy is same overall size as MR Replica -- just a little taller than the MR.

How close is MR to real deal? Not sure -- never seen one side by side.
