I've released my Ark of the Covenant 3d Files

I keep having to print other things for work, so you will definitely finish first.
I've hogged the printer. Everybody is banned until im done. Lol
Great video. What base coat colors did you use? My pictures don't show very well but I feel the white gloss w silver metallic, and then rust oleum metallic gold might be more gold then that. Then again it's hard to judge by the video. The base coat change makes a huge difference. It looks like I used two different color golds but it's just different base coats. I followed you on YouTube also.

I printed in black, then coated in Mod Podge then dusted the gold. Gold is subjective and can really only be seen properly in person since cameras all have some sort of color differences.

I’m going to have it in this room which has led lighting with a blue tint. So this is what it will look like in that lighting.

I've seen people do this method before. Mixing in yellow and red dye or getting premixed dye and adding it to poly is definitely a way to go. Personally I don't have the patience to mix the paints up and layer it. I'm using the gold spraypaint to save time primarily. If I was doing a commision I would gold leaf it and clear coat over the leaf.

Agreed. Spray paint is the way to go. The printing process is abysmal in and of itself. I might lighting sand some parts but that's about it. I have a cool idea for a backdrop after I get this done. I'll keep you posted. Loo

3 more pieces to print!
