Any chance you have the art for the pole wrappings?

This is the image relicmaker made long ago when I had some tapestry made. The idea was to have this piece run as a tapestry, then cut them up, sew and put on the poles. I did three tests but it was getting worse each test and never got back to it.

Well, it's too large to upload. Email me if you want it.

I got nothing for those. Hopefully will be able to find some fabric someday. I don't even know how to make the poles yet. Lol

I made some poles and have 2 sets left.

I just cropped it down to a set of 8. It is supposed to be 6.5" tall each and there is 16 on each pole.

I was thinking about the legs. The center section is about 3.5" diameter. So swapping in PVC pipe might not work to add strength to the part where the ark is connected to the lifting rings. I'm thinking of printing these leg center sections with Gyroid infil which just so happens to be liquid passable. I was thinking if running a metal threaded rod through the leg where the lifting rings are, then pouring in some hydrocal or other high strength plaster to lock onto the rod giving it anchor strength. Then printing the living ring in nylon filament at 100% infill for strength and tapping it to those threads

I was worried about those rings also. Not sure mine will ever make it out of my theater so I'll have to look into that when I get that far.

Doing a lot of testing with paints, primers, lacquer, and urethanes. So far it looks like the spar urethane is hiding a lot of the print lines. You can see it Building up layers of brown and filling in lines and seams. Hopefully it takes paint well. Lol

Day 16, and we're nearing the finish line of printing! Got to love getting up at 3:00 a.m. drunk/hungover to switch out plates on the printer. Lol. More paint testing today, and spar urethane testing. Going to do some UV Resin research today also. Thanks to Replicaprops for the recommendation. Here's current process and a few pics of the collection. Going to slap this baby right beside the Indiana Jones table. Thanks again to everybody for making this happen!

I don't use the same slicer as Bambu does, do they have something similar to Curas "Adaptive layer height" feature? I had noticed the layers in the prints.
UV resin is also sold as UV glue, even though its not really strong as glue. Amazon.com
It is pretty thick and if you dip a few drops, then use a brush to brush it up the hill, it will smooth out those steps. You can shoot it with a UV flashlight to instant cure it. Then a few min in the sun will fully cure it.

I have no idea. Im virtually brand new to 3d printing. Honestly the lines don't bother me because they're so uniform. But considering they're only on the top leaves I might try and hide them a bit. I'm not sure anybody is going to care once they walk in here and see a full size Ark. I'm guessing they'll be blown away just like I am. Lol

Well, apparently that base coat of high gloss white, and high gloss metallic silver made a huge difference. So far it have a clear front runner. But one more paint to test with two different base coats. Hopefully i can get those done today.
