Is there any way to stop McG from directing???

I liked TS except for the heart bit at the end. Don't have connor mortally wounded and just when everyone is trusting Marcus, have Conner kill him.

Is it really the director's fault when the script is bad? James Cameron couldn't save T4 if he directed it either, unless there was a complete rehaul of the script.

Actually, if the script is bad the director should rewrite it if he is talented or quit. The thing about Terminator 4 is McG actually said he's not the guy for the project and went ahead and directed it anyway. Terminator 3 & 4 are the perfect examples of what happens when you place directors that don't get sci-fi/cyberpunk and place them in charge.

Im not defending the guy one bit but hasnt anyone read the green lit original Terminator Salvation script? Its a joke, a really bad joke. You have T800's as golf caddies. It was a doomed film from the get go. McG has the gift of gab in a room full of people. It still boggles the mind how he was put behind the most expensive independent movie of all time with a script that was just awful. Love or hate Bale, whether it be his ego or not, T4 would have been a comedy if not for his demands on the script.

I can go on for hours about how wrong TS is due to missing story lines but its a moot point.

I never saw that draft of the script, is it online? The best part of T3 was the fact i wasn't expecting the ending. I never watched any of McG's tv shows either. I never heard of him until salvation and googled him and saw all the crap he made.

I met him once on the set of We Are Marshall. He was extraordinarily nice. I thought he was a cable wrangler or some other crew member at first. He seemed down to earth and was exceedingly approachable.
Too bad his movies blow such ass. Every time he gets a new gig I think, "Maybe this is the one that won't suck!" Alas...
