i was looking to use an el sheet. So I can cut out the shape of logo and put it under the logo I molded. But a sheet that big is really expensive. I didn't think about el wire though.

I want to paint it all black. But I think purple will help bring out the detail when I take pics I'm dark rooms or darks pics in general

In the comics they use blue a lot to bring out the muscle definition so that's another color idea

. I regret doing purple. Wish I did blue. I used purple because of the venom tattoo I have.

If I may, the picture you posted with the lights in the Spider BEFORE you filled it with white was worked well.
It looked like the arc reactor was transformed into the spider. Which I thought was a very unique idea.

that was kinda the idea. But it looked too christmassy. I've been wondering if anyone caught on to that. I think I may still use it. I'm just unsure at the moment. I may just do the arc underneath the symbol alone without any other lighting

What I need is to pull off a light saber effect in my symbol with a mix of a distorted arc reactor. That's the goal

I idea works. Maybe mock up a few options.
1) Arc Reactor with lights in the center and then the legs and head come off of it without lights but chrome and depth like the arc reactor.
2) Don't make the lights directly visible, if you put them throughput the spider -- If they're on the bottom of each piece, viewers will only see the reflected light and no each individual bulb, which will help the Christmas look.
3) Arc Reactor with white spider surrounding it.
Just some options & opinions.

Any updates on your build. Last I have seen is your redoing the chest piece. I really wanted to see how this one turned out.

Yeah I've been working on the entire suit. Sanding has this taken forever! But I've been holding off on the update. Will be completely done with the body work in less than a month. Here is the idea so far for the chest peice. It's gonna be more of an agent venom look. Not sure how the finish will be though
