I have no exact figure for now and i believe we cant discuss it here :angel... (therpf regulations)... but you can pm me instead:love... i will count you in my "interested" list... keep posted;)

NOTE FOR EVERYONE: Still waiting for my 45 days (as member) to finish, for me to have the privileged of posting in the junkyard... as of now, just pooling-in "interested" people for me to have a whole-hearted decision of taking the route of actually building a mould.
Hope this is clear to everyone's concern and i have no intention of violating any regulations:angel

Very cool, how soon will you start painting, and what colors will you be using?

thanks man... i'm as excited as you are painting the helm but unfortunately it is the last process in my to-do-list and it wont happen anytime soon since im thinking of making a mould out of it...

dont worry i will post the painting progress if im on that phase of the build... keep posted:)

This is such inspiration for my own projects, and I absolutely love the attention to detail that you guys have achieved. I will follow this build every moment I get, good luck!

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- HELM TEST FITTING

Do you plan on casting these?

EDIT: Never mind. Saw you confirm such above.

Great job. It's turning out very well.

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- HELM TEST FITTING

Careful cutting the faceplate off with those curved and sharp corner areas. Dremel cutting wheel is nice for straight segments but not so much with the corners. I used a narrow tile cutting bit and mangled the edges pretty bad on mine. Those bits like to jump around.

Got them mostly fixed but I'd hate to see that happen to such a nice helmet.

Are you separating the chin portion too, or leaving it as a 3 piece helmet?

Do you think it might be safer to cast it before removing the faceplate? You'd have to cast it again afterwards, which is more work/money, but if you botch the job you can just make another.

I don't think he has anything to worry about :D Anyone that can make a helmet that nice looking prolly has some wicked steady hands with a dremel

Perfect fit!

I agree, perfect scaling :thumbsup
