Thanks Fettster.:cool Well now we know for sure, and you're right, we can't blame the customer if they really didn't know. With so much fan made stuff out there it's hard to do all the research. I think the seller, once discovered, should own up. The real burn here is that they are claiming credit for something I created.:angry(just the helmet, kudos to whoever made the suit) It's a risk we take and it's a shame that we have to keep rehashing this same grey area arguement about recasting fan made art. What it does is discourage the artist that produce this stuff from putting their work out there. So everyone loses. Well, spread the word. The more people that know the better.

Yea this really is a shame. I got one of fettster's Helmets from a friend and was going to trade it to someone who said he wanted to recast it. At the time I was unsure what that meant. My buddy told me that this is a bad thing and I even contacted fettster in reguards to it and I am glad I did. People should not take credit and benefit from the hard work of others. Unfortunately people see the easy way to make money and they go for it. As long as people are out there selling there wears I am afraid this is going to continue to happen.

Don't get me wrong I am sorry they ripped off Russell & TMP. But is anyone really hurt from them casting the Iron Man promo statue? Is that any diffrent from People making casts of the ROTS Rubies Vader armor & making fiberglass copys?

fan sculpts I find easy to be black and white about - recasting BAD. BAD BAD BAD.

the rest - falls into wot I personally consider a grey area.

I really like the triceps and shoulders on the recast guys suit more than the other suits I've seen, but I don't think it looks right as a whole.

I'm really likin the gloves and neckseal. Hopefully we can always stop recasters and buy from the original sellers/makers. I'd be willing to pay more if I know someone is the first maker.

I belive we only sent the rubber neckseal to some people in UK. So it narrows it down to named people. Dont want to jump conclutions yet.

As far as our armor, we are once again redoing it... Just finished a Newer New helmet, We are going to redo the shins, upper legs, pants, chest and back...

Ok some body post pictures of all the different suits that are out there for me please, also please post a list of differences in each sculpt .

All the suits I've seen so far just look like Iron Man. ( Except NightMareArmor's ) They all just look the same to me.

Please some one fill me in on how many suits are out there and how they are different.

Quick update, not done a lot really just trimmed and sprayed the shins, shoes, chest and Ab section and fibreglassed in some adjustable shoulder straps for the ab section. Also made a start on the lid.

I eventually found a paint to match the silicon gloves and neck seal, it looks quite dark in the pic below of the hand plate, but it looks brighter in the sun as you can see:

If you are a part of the RPF and want to stay part of it then i suggest you reveal who you got this from. That midsection armor with groin is from us. Someone is taking our parts are replicating them.

Now we know its a helmet replicated, neckseal, midsection....

that midsection is TMP's there is no question there. Someone has been doing some recasting. major thumbsdown it is pretty wrong to take someones work. it is something else when you are being there work.

i hope this gets resolved

This just made me decide the TMP Ironman will get an overhaul..... We will make it far now... F the recasters.
Makeing money of other peoples work and to get just the cash...

If you did not know thats ok, but to honor the people who worked hard on some of those peices you should be honest and come clear who sold it. :unsure I think its totaly legit to reuest that if you want to be appart of a group of dedicated fans and artist who spend their money and time making these things come true.


But i just dont get this adding up.

This helmet is in your photo list. However this is painted....

Did you not just show your painting a helmet......

How come your painting a "new" helmet now. very similar to the above that you got first? Just curiouse.....

The midsection and pants recast also from us, the helmet also another story.

yeppers...sure looks like TMP's neck and abs have been recast. Above is the statue that appears to have been cast, but clearly the recaster couldn't make the neck or abs work... I'm sure TMP has detailed records of whom got stuff..this won't be hard to track down.
And thanks John...glad you liked the pic my kid took of me that day I was test fitting parts. Now if i can just get off my bum and git ur dun.

and he has already said who the suit came from so I dont know why you are trying to interrogate him. He bought it on ebay from a seller called the master replicas UK..pretty simple, I even posted pics from the suctions he has had up.
